Everything about the B&W is done to the highest standards. We recently had a meal there and had the best time. The staff can’t do enough to help you and to make your visit special. Great food and wine and beautiful setting. Thank you

I would probably say a 3.5 - the setting was 9/10, the food 7.5/10 and the service 5/10.Setting - beautiful location on the river. Nice table seat by huge windows overlooking river and nicely finished inside. Fresh flower on the table etc. Lovely.Food - good, but a little pricey. Especially if you just want to pick a few starters (£7 for bread that’s not freshly baked feel’s pricey). We had scallops which were fantastic and best I have had in some time. Then fish and chips, which was also very good despite being £18. Wine was solid too.Service - was a little lacking. Drink with no ice came with ice, requested a knife and it never came, requested a side plate and never came. Order not written down (pet peeve). Felt like every dish was taken away very quickly and people were hovering over us ready to pounce as soon as our last bite was finished. Again when it came to adding a tip - waiter was stood over me staring down.Would return for drinks on the river but not a full meal.

Unfortunately I didn’t book for lunch, I thought just being 4 of us it wouldn’t be necessary. Lesson learned. So we sat at the riverside and had a relaxing drink. I will be back. Next time I’ll book. A beautiful setting, calm, peaceful and beautiful. Very clean and well maintained. Dogs welcome, they even have bowls of water out for them.

Lovely location overlooking the Thames. Great outdoor seating area for warm days and smart uncomplicated but classy dining room inside. Friendly attentive service. Good menu of traditional classics - Homemade pie for me, Mrs B had the grilled bream. Not cheap - ÂŁ60 for two mains plus drinks. But done very well and worth that little bit more for the location, service and overall quality

Found this place by accident while walking the Thames path north of Goring. Stopped for a quick drink, then noticed the barbecue was on the go, so had a burger too. All excellent. Has hotel rooms too - may try to book a room soon. A very serendipity experience.

Great location and superb menu. So many good choices, it was a difficult decision working out what to have. Outside Pods perfect for English summer. Hot one minute cold the next. Pod let’s you be sheltered when needed but still outside.

Lovely place and location. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, both inside and outside just on the river. The wine selection is very good. The food is good, but for the price I was expecting a bit better, I think the steaks can be improved.

Beautiful setting, very clean throughout. Excellent facilities. The food was very good but the stand out feature was the staff. Attentive, quick service, polite, all smartly dressed and personally well presented. Well done the Beetle and Wedge. We will be back.

I actually visited about a year ago and again last week. Last week we just had a drink by the river which was lovely ! However previously we had the food and I have to say I'd never have the food again, its very strange as the menu looks very cheffy and like it's written by someone who knows food, but the execution was poor and we had 2 different starters and 2 different mains and not a single decent dish amongst them. Staff are friendly and helpful though! We will be back for drinks for sure as you'd be hard pressed to find a more gorgeous spot for a drink.

Absolutely amazing food, terrific service and stunning location on the river. Dine in either the beautiful light & modern dining room with river views, or - my favourite area - the cosy pub-like bar in the original boathouse, with exposed beams and wood burners. There are also outdoor tables directly on the river & outdoor gazebos (enclosed and heated in winter). Stroll further down the river for a spot of wild swimming after lunch if you're up for it!
