The staff were lovely and friendly, and we found the food to be very nice. We found the selection of coffee and soft drinks especially the cranberry juice very nice. We actually stayed over and the rooms even though small are cosy and quiet. We didn’t try out the pizzas in the barn, but they looks really nice. Generally seemed a nice atmosphere in both parts of the site.

Previously had burgers in the burger barn which were great.Decided to take a chance on the roast dinner after a nice walk.Being vegan I was happy to see there was a roasted cauliflower steak on the menu. When it arrived I was very disappointed. The cauliflower was unseasoned and undercooked, total of 4 carrots which were over cooked, some cabbage, 3 hard potatoes and very watery tasteless gravy. That was it. For ÂŁ20, I felt like there could have been more on the plate. We left still hungry.

Really cool set up in the barn, bar, fire pit, burger van, local shop, loads of seating. Set up for well for big groups. We ate in the restaurant, lovely country pub with a fantastic menu menu and good selection of wine. Great for all occasions.

Took a trip here on Sunday with my parents for Father's day. When we got there the restaurant was pretty empty but we were put into the corner by 2 families with kids and eventually by a 3rd - they were well behaved on the whole so no major issues. Food overall was great, although my partner's fries with the lobster were overdone, and the beef roast my mum had was a bit chewy. Biggest issue was the service was quite slow, and getting the attention of someone was tricky in the corner. Getting the empty water bottle refilled was missed, then we asked for it to be done, later someone took the empty bottle away, and then eventually we had to ask again before the water appeared. Hovering between 3 and 4 stars based on the prices and the service, but the food that was good was really good. No slight on the staff, the lad that attended to us looked run off his feet, and it was quite busy once we hit 1:30pm. Not sure we'd come back again at over ÂŁ40 a head given the other choices available in Reading and the surrounding area, but that venison and chorizo might make me change my mind, it was truly excellent.

Tucked away in Binfield Health is this gem. Plenty of parking, food was excellent, nice large outdoor area for families. Barn in the back where they do woodfire pizza and burgers. Restaurant had a nice decor, staff were attentive, food was served at an adequate pace and staff were attentive and polite.

I visited the Bottle and Glass a few years ago for a Sunday Roast . It was one of the best Roasts out I'd had in a long time . We visited yesterday and felt disappointed. The lamb was very fatty and bland . The roast potatoes were rock hard outside and in . The Yorkshires were puffs of air with little flavour too. The gravy was like water and our meals went cold very quickly. The roast beef however was excellent. Cooked to perfection. The sticky toffee pudding was average but the Summer fruit bread and butter pudding was fabulous. I think for what the prices are they are just not up to the standard they used to be . S

My son and new daughter inlaw held their wedding reception at The Bottle and Glass and everything was catered for superbly. It’s location is set in the stunningly beautiful little English village of Binfield Heath near Henley on Thames. The meal was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. After the meal the main reception was held in the newly converted barn at the rear.Again everything was really well catered for.The car park also had ample room for all the guests to park and it was free!!. :)From what we’ve been led to believe, this was the first wedding reception held in the newly renovated barn and by the way this wedding was managed will definitely not be the last…All of the staff were very professional, well mannered, courteous and polite during the whole occasion.A very big well done to you all.👌👏👏We will definitely be returning to this beautiful venue/pub in the very near future for lunch or an evening meal and a pint..Good luck for all your future weddings🥂🥂

Excellent customer service. They hosted our wake, with a buffet, and everything was to a high standard. They rearranged the room to accommodate a projector and screen, and made sure that we didn't run out of food or drink.

Delicious food! A lovely lunch menu with a glass of wine included. A small bar with comfortable seating. Large restaurant area and and enormous amount of outdoor seating. Dog friendly. There is a newly opened barn servicing food and drinks along with a delightful gift shop. After your meal there is a well marked trail for dog walkers.. please bring your own poo bags.

Nice familial atmosphere in this countryside pub, which is by the way a bit pricy for an average service. The meat I ordered (medium rare) came overcooked, was not so tasty anyway, and the fries were very salty and dry.You may prefer the burgers in the other Bottle &Glass restaurant nearby, or another pub (probably in Henley-on-thames nearby). Note that I did not try the numerous fish options that can only be better than the meat one.
