Lovely little country pub with amazing food and friendly staff.New favourite place to eat!!

Lovely place to visit for a meal or a drink. Portion sizes are good and the roast was exquisite.Parking can be a pain if it's busy but there's parking in the local village.They were very welcoming to us and our little newborn girl.Will come back if in the area.

Great rural English pub in a pretty village with lovely large garden, no noisy passing traffic either. Had a delicious Roast Chicken and the serving staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Not very good if you have food allergies, and even then they served up the wrong food! How can you make chips that aren't gluten free 😕They also forgot all the decorations for a party we were doing, so overall not that brilliant really.The butternut squash tagine was very mediocre.

This is a very authentic country pub. We have been a few times and we always had a lovely time and a big part of this is thanks to the nice people that work there. You feel really welcome and of course the good food and great ales help a lot towards leaving really satisfied. Sunday roast is good, but we have even been welcomed to having drinks by a lovely warm log fire. These are people and a pub you want to return to.

The service and food were just great! Honestly couldn't fault it. Wish I lived closer, I'd be a regular. It was a little chilly in the room, but actually fine once the food came.Fabulous place :-)

TLDR: Excellent service, good food, decently priced in a lovely cosy environment 😊Nicest pub experience for a while. By all accounts we were a bit of an awkward group (14 people, only there for desserts and drinks) but the staff were so warm and accommodating with no hint that we were an inconvenience 😅 they joined our separately booked tables together (it wasn't possible to book for 14 online) without hesitation or drama. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely pub, good food. Service was not up to its usual standard this time and mistakes were made with the bill but, on the whole we had a great meal. A firm family favourite.

We enjoyed delicious food in the lovely garden. We were so we'll looked after and the food was delicious. Our two children adored their meals too. We'll be back!

I am a kind of burger fan, my other half celebrates the national fish and chips day here 😊, but I would say here the Scottish Cod and the Berrick Burger are the ne plus ultra of pub food nationwide ✅ All ingredients supplied by local farms, bakeries. Hospitality, kindness five stars, A+ class. Pets friendly, playground for kids, beer garden, spacious carpark, friendly locals. Strongly recommended place☝
