We had dinner and drinks here on Friday 17th December and the experience was really poor. The food was fairly average, though it was really busy so we weren't expecting to be blown away though for the money we expected better. The service however, was truly horrendous!! We skipped dessert and instead ordered a drink before leaving, however after 5 minutes when we were halfway through our drinks we were asked by the waitress if we would mind leaving to free up the table. We explained that we hadn't had dessert and we'd be 5-10 minutes longer and the waitress smiled and walked off. 2 minutes later a short lady purposefully strode over and declared "we need this table back now so you need to take your drinks to the bar area". No please, no 'sorry to interrupt you'. As we tried to explain that we had ordered our drinks instead of dessert she continued to cut us off which was incredibly rude and kept repeating that it made no difference and we needed to leave NOW... When we were finally able to explain that if we had ordered dessert it likely wouldn't have even arrived yet, let alone would we have finished it, she stated once again that she didn't care and we needed to leave now. We'll never return, never seen anything like it especially when our bill was £420 for 4 people! One of our party went back in while we were waiting for our taxi to have a courteous word with the manager about the situation and he was immediately defensive and said "I don't believe that a member of my staff would speak to you like that" - or in other words, I think you're lying to me...There was another lady waiting outside also complaining of a really poor experience so clearly we were not the only ones. It's evident there is no consideration for smaller groups with a focus on turning tables around as quickly as possible and prioritising larger bookings and corporate events where I imagine the bulk of their revenue is made.Real shame as the farm shop there is lovely and we shop there regularly but never again...

We stayed at the hotel a few years ago and decided not to stay again after feeling the venue took every possible opportunity to make money instead of striving to please customers. For example, no tea or coffee in the room (you have to order it via room service), no rice included in the all-inclusive dinner (curry dish with no rice? You had to pay extra), and extortionately overpriced service charges that are added to every line item. However, we received a voucher as a gift so returned to the Thai restaurant last night. The voucher was for a 12 course Thai dinner. As others have stated, the courses all come out together so slightly misleading, but we weren’t too concerned about that. What bothered us was the size of the portions and the fact that you only actually get 10 plates, not 12. Each dish was tiny, and on some occasions, hardly warrants a course in its own right. For example, a tiny bowl of seaweed is classed as 1 of the courses. As are 2 bite sized duck tacos. Needless to say we left hungry. However, the most frustrating element was the fact that 3 of the main courses are actually served as one measly dish. It’s advertised as 3 separate plates - crispy pork belly, honey duck, and marinated pork- sounds good, right!? Wrong. While tasty, what arrived was a ‘trio of meats’ which comprised of 2-3 pieces of the above - 1 bite sized piece each! At the end of the meal we hadn’t realised this was the case and asked the waitress why we’d only received 10 plates (at a push!) and not 12. She counted them out on her fingers and agreed that, yes, we’d only had 10 and she had no idea why so went to check with the assistant manager who was in charge that evening. I use the term manager loosely because the man that came to our table was rude, obnoxious and full of self importance. He quickly told us with no apology that we had in fact received 12 courses and highlighted how the meats comprised of 3 dishes!! We laughed at first as we were sure he was joking. But no, he adamantly informed us that these dishes were all on the main menu and that we’d had 12 plates. He was so forceful that the conversation became heated and he was extremely outspoken about the situation. No apology, no empathy and absolutely no sign of any customer service. We were extremely angry and upset, particularly as this was part of our 10 year wedding anniversary celebrations. Fortunately, after our previous experience at the crazy bear we hadn’t booked the meal on our actual anniversary as we’d worried it wouldn’t be special- and we couldn’t have been more accurate in our assumptions. This is false advertising at it’s best! And better still, at full price it’s £134 for two. My advice - take your custom elsewhere and don’t waste your hard earned pennies here.

Great place. Lovely food. It is pricey but the quality is fantastic. Lovely atmosphere with a very talented lady singing today. Mentioned it was out anniversary and they did us something special. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. We will be returning.

Avoid this place! I had a really poor experience and would not recommend it to anybody.I heard great reviews prior to booking but my personal experience was a nightmare.I planned a Thai massage and Thai 12 course dinner for my girlfriends birthday. Three days prior to visiting, I was called and told the masseuse was ill and the massage booking would be cancelled. 24 hours before the booking, crazy beard called and advised the massage booking will actually go ahead. On the day of the booking, the massage was not relaxing and consisted of smashing bottles as the bar is literally outside the room. There was no relaxing music and the masseuse put zero effort into the massage.Several complaints were made to Crazy Bear regarding the poor experience however, they have failed to respond or even apologise!!Never again!

We had a dinner reservation last month that left us with a sour taste in our mouth.Firstly, when we arrived @ 07.00 pm,(which was confirmed by Crazy Bear 24 hours prior to the reservation)we were then informed that our dinner reservation was in fact actually booked for 08.40 pm. So we were waiting around due to the incompetence of the restaurants booking process.Secondly, while we were dining, we received the wrong dish.We ordered a vegetarian dish due to health/diet reasons however we were served shellfish & prawns. So the wrong dish was presented and this individual ate something which they had an intolerance to.For the money we paid,we expected better organization and customer service. Best to avoid this place if you want a reliable & lovely dining experience

Beautiful decoration, chic and stunning. The food was delicious full of flavours and beautiful in the eyes. The staff is very polite and attentive. Quiet restaurant, kind of romantic atmosphere.

Crazy bear, what a find, I had never heard of it prior to going there. Every aspect of this experience was quality. Food, drink and service was exceptional. Highly recommended. To truly enjoy you will need £200 per head. What a night! (English restaurant) (Thai restaurant wasn't open on the Monday night we visited)
