Booked a table and we were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats. Only roasts served on a Sunday but the kids were offered chicken nuggets and chips. The roast was amazing, a choice of pork, lamb and beef with all the trimmings. We were joined by Brandy the beautiful pub dog who cleaned the kids faces for us before we left. It was like going round to someone's house for a roast, will definitely be back again. Great price too compared to other pubs in the area.

We were passing by looking for somewhere to have something to eat!! Although they weren't serving food at that time we both were made welcome. I wish It was my Local Pub. Open Fire and really Friendly dog. Most definitely think about a Sunday drive out in the near future for a Sunday Roast.

A real old drinkers pub. There are 4 hand pulls but only 1 ale which is Taylor Landlord in this old Morland pub. Lovely open fires and welcoming atmosphere.

A proper, traditional pub with very welcoming owners and staff, plus the best open fire I've seen in a long time.

Lovely Sunday roast, generous portions (Yorkshire's huge!) meat really tender and lots of it. Staff friendly, attentive and efficient without being intrusive.Would recommend a visit.

We have just visited the horse & harrow (a so called dog friendly pub ) for a drink in the garden with our extremely placid golden retriever .On arrival the bar lady advised that they had two live in dogs that would be downstairs shortly but had said no more about them and so we ordered our drinks and sat down in the garden & our dog laid down by my partners feet .The two live in dogs; one was a brindle coloured boxer type the other a brindle colour staffordshire bull terrier came over to our table to see our dog who was still lying down on the floor , the boxer had a sniff and walked off but the staff suddenly launched and bit our dog on the side of his face without any warning , taking a clump of hair off leaving a bold patch of skin , our dog was petrified and if my partner hadn’t of acted so quickly the damage could have been so much worse !I proceeded to tell the bar lady and question how this was allowed to happen , our dog was laid down quietlywith no provoking behaviour so there could have been no other reason than that their dog must have already been aggressive or temperamental and they would have known this ?! If this was the case we should have been made aware becuase there is no way we would have stayed!Rather than apologise or even acknowledge that what had happened was unacceptable - what followed was a string of abuse & confrontation from the dog owners & couple that run the pub .Bearing in mind I am 7 months pregnant - the land lady did not hold back in squaring up to me in attempt to tell me that we must have got the situation all wrong - particularly when I advised that other people needed to be made aware and warned she was extremely defensive & rude and proceeded to say that because her dog “didn’t draw blood” that we had nothing to complain about !Our main concern tonight was obviously for our dog and we are just thankful that it wasn’t any worse on this occasion but we are disgusted by the response & reaction from the owners and couple/ staff managing the pub and the little remorse / abuse that was shown - knowing what we know I would advise anyone with a dog in hand to not even think about entertaining this pub - we certainly won’t be going back with our without our dogs .Both me & my partner have been brought up with staffordshire bull terriers and will never have a bad word to say about the breed they are lovely - dog behaviour is the responsibility of the owner not the breed and this is a perfect example of being irresponsible .

Popped in to wish an old workmate a happy birthday. Great live band, good friendly atmosphere and staff. Only minor issue was parking spaces, not enough to knock a rating star though.
