Called in with my partner and sons for Fathers day. Wasn't too busy. Ordered a mix of Steaks and sons went for burgers. Beef burgers came out cremated! Chicken burger was acceptable. Steaks were tepid and unimpressive. We had to wait 50 minutes from placing food order to it arriving at the table. Looked like there were only 3 staff waiting on tables so they were doing their best. Asked for beef burger to be replaced but was informed the replacement would also be cremated!! Swapped that for a chicken cowboy. Again, it was nothing to get excited about. All in all pretty disappointing. Wont be going back.

My experience wasn't the best, lady Who was standing by bar was giving me impression like she doesn't really care (U stay or go out if not happy). Menu R stinky and dirty and prices are not the lowest, so We didn't even bother to try a food 😑. I got a dirty glass but I didn't bother to return it as I could drink from bottle. Children didn't have that much luck, though 😥. In the end we went elsewhere. I like one thing, part of pub that was family friendly with small play area.

Spacious, generally good vibes and customer base is decent - pizza oven is a massive pro!Huge bar too 👍FYI - I work for marstons and was covering.Normal customer experiences do NOT include behind the bar or making pizza yourself.

Food service was good. Freya is a lovely, polite girl. The bar service was as slow as ever as there is not enough staff on duty and it doesn't help when the only person behind the bar had to deal with individuals starting to cause issues. He was extremely apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. Please note the staff do not get paid enough to deal with that sort of stuff on their own. More staff needed, offer higher wages.

Pros:Food was nice and cheap, which is always a bonus.Cons:On this particular visit we had a 30% off voucher but they have a better offer for pizza. We thought how lucky. Sadly they failed to let us know lots of the pizzas were out of stock despite querying about pizzas. So when we ordered one meal using the voucher and the other meal using the special offer, we weren't pleased to find out the pizza we wanted was sold out. This was on top of the nearly 15 minute wait to get served even though the was only one person in front of us!

Came out for a few drinks with my mates and ended up having a meal. The food is wonderful and the service is superb. The staff are very friendly which makes the pub feel a very welcoming place. Definitely recommend.

Drinks are pricy, food isn't too bad, Monday night had a pizza for 7 pounds, made fresh . Tried cocktails 2 for 7 pounds they are half pub measure shots so not what you'd expect. They have pool, darts sports bar but darts is by pool and pool is by fruit machine, not ideal. Lots of tvs in sports bar and they have separate family dining area and tables outside. I just remember it being better value, busier before as hungry horse.

Had a great time over the weekend celebrating my birthday, friendly staff as always and enjoyed playing pool. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before. Landlady doing a brilliant job of getting everyone enjoying their freedoms once again and a nice community spirit being fostered with lots of events to entertain.

Our train was delayed in didcot so we decided to check out the nearest pub, we walked in to a very warm welcome from Charlie who made us feel right at home. The pub had a very nice atmosphere and the locals were all very friendly, we played some pool and had a few drinks and were back on our way, but in the end we were almost glad that our train was delayed

Love this place, usually good but food was really not great tonight. Over 45 min wait and chips were cooked in very old fat as they were covered in black dots (burnt fryer debris). Bun was very dry on burger.Danielle thank you for your response, there were several reasons I didn't say anything to you directly. Hopefully see you next week.
