Great quiet location by the river - even when cloudy(!) - and good quality food. Staff very pleasant and friendly. There’s car parking next to restaurant at the river level.

Everything about this place is fabulous. The setting, the food and especially the cocktails. We wil be back as soon as possible.

When we arrived for a family meeting the waiter said my family had cancelled as a joke, which was not funny. The chair I was sat in was wobbly and falling apart. The spaghetti I ordered which cost £17 and was the only vegan thing on the menu was dry and completely tasteless. I think they rely on the beautiful location and people’s willingness to put up with bad service and dreadful overpriced food. Won’t be going again.

Excellent food. All fresh ingredients and cooked with great and subtle flavours. At the moment you must book in advance. We were fortunate to be squeezed in as we arrived just for a drink at 6pm but opted for a meal. Good decision. Coming again.

Beautiful setting. Picturesque. The food is equally delicious. Great selection of wine to go with. The service is good. We loved the visit. The dessert was absolutely amazing! Don't leave without it.

I really don’t know where to start. I’m so disappointed. The setting of the restaurant is so gorgeous, but that is the only positive I can say.We waited 90 minutes for a caprese salad (which came out as cherry tomato’s, hard ball of mozzarella and a piece of lonely basil) and some overcooked prawns with some iceberg lettuce. We were so hungry so we ate it, and thought we wouldn’t say anything just yet, putting it down to them being busier due to Eat Out to Help Out.Once our mains finally arrived, cold and not very aesthetically pleasing, we realised that the quality of the food was the same as your frozen fish from a supermarket. The prawns for the main were £10 more than the starter, we got 2 more prawns and it was still served with some sad looking iceberg lettuce. The other dish we ordered was the sea bass in lobster sauce, with prawns and salmon (please see the photo of this dish). It was full of bones, bearing in mind it said it should be a fillet and looked very unappetising. We ordered some fries, but they didn’t have these (told us as our mains arrived) so they swapped them for some sweet potato fries and wedges which were both sadly cold and under cooked. We politely asked to speak with the manager as it was unfair to speak with the waiters who were working hard. We were made to feel so unwelcome and unheard by the manager, he even said ‘most people have a lovely time, and then tables like you guys come along.’ We truly felt as though they weren’t valuing us as paying customers. We apologised for having to make a complaint but we did not receive one sorry from the staff for the experience we had. It became really uncomfortable as everyone was very standoffish and defensive. The food is overpriced, cold and the whole dining experience was a joke.

Lovely setting! Shame it was too windy to sit out next to the river. Food was lush! Mixed sea food starter especially! Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent: food; service; and location. I always worry about turning up to an Italian restaurant with little in the way of local competition. Don Giovanni was a brilliant surprise. The location is beautiful. Located on the river, with seating on a pontoon if you wish, it's quiet with great views. The service was friendly and polite and had the relaxed feel of Italian service but with the haste expect of Brits. There was a specials menu which we ordered from. The food was excellent and fresh. It reminded me of trips to Italy. I can't remember a better tiramisu: so so good. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Just visited this new ownership restaurant for Sunday lunch. It's a lovely location overlooking the Thames from a good sized conservatory with tables outside on the river bank on a good day. Food is modern British with good use of flavours. On our table we had for starters a mackerel and wasabi cream, sweet breads and crab. All very fresh and with good flavour combinations. For mains there was beef with various vegetable purees, a excellently thick plaice with kale puree and samphire and lamb and vegetables again all cooked to perfection. Deserts we had a lush white chocolate 3 ways with amazing lemon curd and hazelnut cake with sorbet. Front of house knew everything about the menu and operated a relaxed efficient restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous - Truly scrumptious food, wonderful Riverside location and very nice team - one of the best meals any of us have had (under new management for approx 4 weeks)
