The Old Post Office in South Oxfordshire

Much like the old church this to seems to be the beating heart of Wallingford, great for a coffee or drink, or a bite to eat (Sunday roasts are fab), casual with a friendly and helpful staff....Popped back, as in town this weekend, nice place to meet and catch up...

The staff were very friendly, however the food wasn’t great! The kids chicken burger was dry and to be honest didn’t even look appetising and our burgers were dry and burnt. Very overpriced and disappointing.

Great place. Thoroughly enjoyed our food - top quality, and some unique elements to the menu. Waiting staff were very good - attentive at the right times, polite and friendly, and good timing between courses.Atmosphere also good - slightly spaced out tables, but definitely a restaurant feel as opposed to a pub.

Lovely find in Wallingford! We took our granddaughter here and they have a lovely kids menu as well as a very comprehensive adult menu. All very nicely served and tasty. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We will return!

I love the atmosphere of the OPO but am afraid it's lost a few stars from me as I much preferred it when it had its cozy seating area with the sofas near the fireplace. Not everyone wants or is able to sit at the high stools and tables that there seem to be alot of now which gives it the appearance of just being a bar rather than somewhere you can just pop into for a coffee and chill rather than just alcohol and a meal.

The pizza was OK, but no where near what I'd consider a proper neapolitian pizza. Staff were great with the kids though.

Roast dinner we both had, my beef had so much rind on it took ages to cut off and ended with a big pile. The beef itself was nice but such a chore it was so chewy. My husband loved the chicken, but not potatoes.The potatoes were greasy no crispness.Staff serving were polite and nice.Sat after watching the chefs eating chips while cooking, but watching them touching their mouths over and over and straight back touching food, just go outside and eat we don't want to watch you wiping your mouth and then picking up a pizza to check its cooked!

Lovely place. The menu offers a vast choice that caters for most tastes. Highly recommend the beef brisket croquettes. Staff were great and added to a really nice positive atmosphere.

Visited for the first time today. The food was excellent and our Spanish waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. We had two young children with us and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again!

Brilliant. This lovely old original post office is a beautiful building.The restaurant is really good, they seem to cater for all tastes and have their own pizza oven, gluten-free pasta, burgers, veggie, kids, allsorts.Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere, with lots of space. A family favourite, but also good for couples, friends, singles, mature or young.
