The Perch and Pike in South Oxfordshire

We were on one of the many fine walks in the area. We arrived at the Perch and Pike ten minutes before they stopped serving. They served us without a problem and we enjoyed a fine pint of Brakspears before heading on our way happy and refreshed.

Very nice Pub. Definitely worth a drive out or better still a cycle. Great staff.

A lovely pub in South Stoke close both to the Great Western Mainline and is on the main road which is coincident to the Ridgeway National Trail so a great place to get refreshments and use the facilities. There is a large beer garden as well as seating at the front.

The best ploughman's I have ever had! Great staff, dog friendly and really welcoming. Will be back again very soon.

This is a difficult one.Positives: food was very good. Staff were lovely. Great wood burning fire.Negatives: waited one and a half hours for our mains. They had run out of one of the roast meats also (the one most of us wanted). Then, they had run out of two of the desserts (also the ones we wanted).

Wow! I was with a party of visually impaired ramblers and sighted volunteer assistants for our Christmas lunch today, 30 or so of us. We pretty much all agreed that it was the best Christmas dinner we had ever had (outside of a home environment maybe). The food quality, quantity, service and value were all amazing. The best, no doubt.

Really wonderful place to stay. Great food, huge breakfast and really helpful staff. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us and it’s a lovely locally run place. They even brought fudge and milk to our room late at night - so thoughtful and unexpected! Would definitely stay here again.

Had an overnight stay last week. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in with the best breakfast we have been presented with in a long long time. Highly recommend this wonderful establishment and it’s great hosts. Thank you and we shall return again Ray

Great looking country pub, who have a really nice barn extension for their restaurant. We just popped in for a swift half, but we were made to feel very welcome. I'll definitely be going back there again soon
