Very, very dog friendly and lovely to meet so many friendly dogs. Delicious food too!

Lovely lunch a couple of weeks back. Warm, dog friendly and yummy food. Recommended.

·

Starter with prawns in tempura batter not great. Rather greasy and slightly underdone. Main: Roast pork. Pork delicious, veg good, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes disappointing. Good service and friendly staff

·

Amazing pub off the beaten track but well worth the effort to find it! Good selection of drinks and the food is by far the best in the area. Can't rate it highly enough!

·

Gorgeous pub... lost in the woods. . Almost like a Hansel and Gretel house.. without the witch of course! Great Sunday lunch... nice service. Don't go there...it's my secret!!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and they had a good drinks menu. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the building was very characterful. Lots of countryside walks nearby.

Cute garden, hot food, cold pints. Lovely Sunday afternoon in a gorgeous setting. Sunday roast was fantastic - veggie options were great!

Friendly staff, great beer and atmosphere. I was greeted warmly after a long walk with the dog, who also received a treat and clean bowl of water. I was happy to find a pub open. Unfortunately, I didn't stay to eat but will definitely return. They are doing well to keep folks protected from Covid19.

A good stop for lunch, triple cooked chips an especial delight, normal chips nearly as good. The burger is filling and well presented, fish and chips a delight, with fine batter, not in the slightest bit greasy. Also check out the specials menu to find a new slant on traditional dishes.
