Very good meals. Quick service. Lovely surroundings what more can you ask for. Oh yes reasonable prices and they were as the quality was high. Very tasty.

Fantastic 'pub-lunch'. Burgers were delicious as were options for gluten-intolerant friends with us. If you are a Midsomer Murders fan, you'll know this pub and a visit should definitely be on the cards!

Lovely find. Tucked away in small village on a beautiful village green setting. Very pleasant staff, good food, lovely outdoor areas.

Amazing little gem in a chocolate box village. I've eaten there a few times and the food is always brilliant.

An accidental outing after a missed bus, that turned into a surprisingly good dinner at a cozy country pub.The soufflé was far better than some 'high-end' chains (Looking at you, Raymond Blanc), and the crab was super fresh. We both had fish and chips, which was delicious (maybe a bit oily and batter heavy, but very tasty). The chips were chunky and very nicely cooked. All the portions were healthily sized (don't let the pictures fool you, the chips are huge). The coleslaw was creamy, crunchy and fresh. The pub seemed a bit short staffed and weren't the most attentive (it was quite busy on a weeknight), but the food arrived quickly.

Great pub. Feels like a village âlocalâ, but welcoming to passing trade. Attentive service despite it being busy. Well-behaved kids tolerated with a smile. Food well-priced and cooked with care and attention.

Love this place. Have only been here for a couple of meals so far but plan on returning. Its a lovely pub, dog friendly, friendly staff and great food. I chose the mackeral pate to start which was tasty, and seafood linguine to follow, which was outstanding. Can't remember what my husband had as I was enjoying my food so much. Have been here in the past a few times just for drinks and the staff have always been friendly. Neesbto book though if you want food as they are busy.

The staff were really lovely and friendly and the pub isnât bad, but the food was very disappointing. The single vegetarian option was asparagus, egg and hollandaise sauce for ÂŁ15 which, compared to the rest of the food on the menu, felt ridiculous. The table next to us felt the same and our shared laughter certainly added to the friendly feeling of the place! Sadly they chose to eat somewhere else after reviewing the menu. The âdressed leavesâ was just a small pile of shredded iceberg lettuce with a bit of sauce on top. The Cajun chicken burger was lacklustre and the steak tough. We had a lovely evening, but wouldnât eat there again or particularly recommend it.

When I was in residence as organist at Gloucester cathedral for a week two summerâs ago, a tenor in the choir and I, both Midsomer Murder fans from across the pond, decided to take a long drive to get lunch on one of our free days. The lunch is still memorable to this day and the salad was a triumph replete with fresh golden and red beets beautifully dressed with complimentary greens and chĂšvre. The French dip sandwich was also beautifully done with the nice addition of an onion ring. With such excellent food and ambience, I highly recommend this establishment.

Nice little pub in a village, fairly busy and worth booking on a Sunday. The menu is limited on a Sunday to mainly roasts. The vegetables come on a separate dish, and the meat portion is large. I ordered the butternut squash risotto, unfortunately the rice was undercooked and hard, also there were courgettes and peppers, which had not been listed on the menu. The toilets are very snug, and so is the height of the roof! The garden looks nice for the summer and there are also tables at the front of the pub. Quirky pieces of Decoration.
