I was at a music festival at the local sports club with camping and chose to get a take away from this restaurant. It was a lovely walk down to pick up our food with many beautiful thatched cottages . We walked back to our campervan and opened the bag up. The popadoms were fine, but the Mango Chutney was horrible and Mint Sauce ok. We then start on the Onion Bhajee’s. To say these were the worst I have ever had is an understatement. They were tough and chewy for some reason and had to throw away. The only thing that was decent was the salad. We then get on to the mains. We ordered Lamb Dil Pasanda (That wasn’t in the bag) and Chicken Tikka. We also ordered Pilau Rice and Peshwari Nan. (Rice was in the bag but Nan was not). The Tikka was tough and over cooked and not like Chicken Tikka I’ve had many times before. The rice was not like other Pilau rices I’ve had many times either and that’s not in a good way. So unfortunately we would never eat from here again or recommend.

Eating alone and ordered one bread and one vegetarian curry and one drink.I think there was an event elsewhere in the restaurant, as I was literally the only one in the room and was ignored the whole time.Took a long time to take my order, and while the curry was tasty, it was a very small portion and it took about half an hour to arrive.I was still hungry and would've ordered more, but the waiter took ages coming back, and never offered the menu again so I left.Waitress on the bar didn't even greet me coming in, and not once spoke to me.Another waiter hung around by the bar and they talked together.I felt like an inconvenience. No excuse for such dreadful service.

Very good food & ambience but not going again.Rude racist Bangladeshi serving staff member ruined our night by saying- 'order only once, we are busy inside kitchen', when we ordered an item during the meal. There were only 3 tables being served! He was only interested in greeting and serving 'Indian' food to 'White' people!

We went for a dinner, the Google reviews seems to be overrated , Two reasons,a. Not an authentic Indian cuisine (this is fine doesn't have to be)b. Value for money, very expensive. This is fine if the quality of food is good.

Nice cosy pub with outdoor heated pods too. The restaurant area is upstairs in small room.Good range of different curries and lovely starter choices. Great with allergies too which was appreciated. Two of us had Biryani baked in a pot with a bread lid. I'd never seen that before!

Visited Vine and Spice having driven past it so many times over the last 9 years and heard amazing things and it didn’t disappoint. Firstly we were seated outside in one of their new pods which have heaters and fairy lights so that was lovely and the food……. 😍 from the mix of chutneys that came with the popadoms to the mains it was all so fresh and so yummy! It is more expensive than your usual Indian restaurant but you get what you pay for. The presentation is lovely and we enjoyed every bite. Staff were lovely and food came out timely but not rushed. Deffo will be going back, we even got a complimentary drink after receiving our bill which was a lovely touch

Superb dinner this evening at The Vine and Spice in Long Wittenham. I have driven past it on several occasions and decided to finally give it a try based on many recommendations from friends and FB posts. What a find! Magical well spaced out pods lit with fairy lights, and with a heat lamp light above the table transformed a cold night into a cosy wonderland in the garden. The food is sublime; fresh, delicately spiced and worlds apart from the usual curry restaurant. Portions are quite generous and there is a good selection of wine and drinks. Covid-19 requirements were strictly enforced which is great to see. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely fantastic! The outdoor dining has been really well thought through, the large garden is dotted with dining 'pods' with comfortable seats and heat lamps, the staff are really friendly and attentive, the food is delicious! Lamb and chicken dishes were superb, great choice of rice and naans and the best Bombay Aloo I've had in a long time 👌🏼 Excellent drinks selection also, all-in-all definitely recommended

Good food. Gluten-free friendly. The friendly staff gave my kids a lesson on napkin folding. The food did not have much chilli in: I think they dialled it down because we had kids with us. Expensive.
