Waterfront Cafe in South Oxfordshire

Nice location and place to sit, although we couldn't see the river through the wall of boats moored there.Based on location and staff being perfectly nice, I've rated 4, but the coffees we had were more like 3/5. Flat whites are supposed to be fairly strong, not ridiculously milky with a hint of coffee.

Great food. Lovely location. Kid and dog friendly. Nice stroll up to Shillingford Bridge and back to walk off a lunch along the Thames.Best burger I have had in ages.

Well I've been visiting the Waterfront for many years and this time I was for the first time disappointed.My wife did not enjoy the lemon cake. I tried it and agreed it was crumbly rather than spongy. The cinnamon bun was doughy and I left half of it.I give this feedback in the hope it's taken on board rather than seen as criticism so the proprietor can up his game to reflect his high quality of food as per the past.I'm not commenting on the service as the cafe was packed as seen in the photo.After all it's a great venue by the river.

Beautiful liocation next to the river and well laid out/managed arrival. I had a goats cheese tart, qhich was well presented an tasty. My son had eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise but the eggs were not runny. We ordered cakes and they had a good variety including an amazing gluten free and dairy free lemon one. I picked coffee which looked good but was very dry. So overall a mixed experience!!

Lovely to be back at the Waterfront yesterday after a long absence. It was very busy due to the gorgeous weather. Felt very safe there as there was a good system in place for seating and ordering. Full marks to all the staff who were working flat out. If you haven't discovered this little gem give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I am sure impatient people will mark down today. However the staff should know they are amazing. Service was quick and efficient. Location is fantastic. Food brilliant and costed about right. Parking was busy but we parked in a road nearby.Have a little patience and everything here is ideal.

Tasty food, fast service despite being busy. No Sunday roast.

This is our favourite place to come for breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee & cake.We’ve been coming at least twice a month for the past 4 years , which says everything!On all those occasions we’ve never had a bad meal or bad service.The service is brilliant, very quick, food is always amazing too.Beautiful setting outside and clean and pleasant inside. 100% recommend👍🏼

Love this place. Beautiful spot by the river. Lots of seating inside and outside. Great if you want a drink, lunch, dinner or just tea and cake. High quality food with good value prices. Super dog friendly, you can even get dog biscuits on the menu!

The service was excellent. The fish n chips were scrumptious. Had to order food via an app to avoid contact but the service was prompt. Great view of the River Thames. Overall a fabulous place and plan to return.
