Same as most Wetherspoons. Average food and cheap drinks. Although I was pleased to see the staff assisting a slightly elderly lady who had a few too many cocktails lol. They helped her outside and got a cab for her.

·

Another excellent use of an old building & being very close to the football ground is inevitably busy on match days. Excellent cask beer quality but like so many others a much limited quantity of cask beers now available.

·

always good food and beer, i like this place as its a little bit posh but still with all the regular stuff a weather spoons offer. Its easy and simple to get what you want and go relax at a table. staff are friendly and you never have to wait around to be served.much better service that other local establishments.

Its a spoons. You get to enjoy cheap food and drink whilst watching a cross section of all the major local demographics pass through. Use the app so you don't have to get up amd lose your seat. If you need the bathroom, be sure to leave a trail of breadcrumbs on your outward journey so you can navigate back.

Food same good price but lower quality than I remember. Veggy sausages less flavour, smaller portions too I think.

·

Good food. Easy ordering through the app. Staff are helpful when any issues arise. Can get busy on weekends as it is close to city centre. Theres outside seating and a nice rustic feel inside. History of Southampton are hung on the walls. It could do with a lick of paint and clean carpets! Toilets are ok not very welcoming though. However for a wetherspoons its good.

The Wetherspoons Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis pub - named after the senior Royal Navy officer who laid the foundation stone for Southampton's nearby Eastern Docks back in October 1838 - is situated in Ocean Village and is a historic grade 2 listed building (built around 1870) that started it's life as the headquarters of the Docks Board Office. After 130 years of use as offices for various companies associated with the docks and shipping industry the building was repurposed as a pub (the Cork & Bottle) in 2000. It was taken over by Wetherspoons in 2007 and given it's current name 2 years later.Inside the layout has a nautical feel to it and this is reflected in a lot of the artwork displayed throughout the main room. The artwork also includes several features of local historical interest so if you like that sort of thing it's well worth a closer look. Being a Wetherspoons the food isn't cordon bleu but it is good, as are the drinks, and the prices are fantastic - always great value for money.I've never been there in the evening but I visit regularly for lunch and it's clear the place is popular because it's always quite busy. On the whole the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and a clear rapport can be seen between those who have worked there for a while and their regular customers. I've been having lunch there with my family almost every Friday for several months now and it wasn't long before the manager started saying hello. I like the fact that she recognises the regulars and makes time to have a chat even though she's clearly very busy.In my opinion the Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis is one of the nicest pubs in Southampton so it gets top marks from me.

·

Good location. Neef to chose your timing if it is match day. Team there is always helpful and attentive. Food is typically Wetherspoons. All is clean and tidy. At table service via app orders. We didn't see/have Xmas menu, but still had a good meal.

Atmosphere is good. The waitress served us the drinks and food, she has a sweet smile and very nice. The Fish and chips it's fresh and delicious but unfortunately not the beef burger, it's seem not freshly cook like been sat there for awhile and gone cold. Recommended to go for fish and chips.
