Bark & Brisket in Southampton

We went to Blue's on Saturday July 2nd 2022 for a birthday meal & weren't disappointed. The young man that served us was fantastic. He went above & beyond to ensure we had a great meal & great service from start to finish. The food was lovely with a great choice & served quickly & the desserts were scrumptious. I even had a lovely cocktail which I don't usually bother with but was glad I did!! The 4 of us are looking forward to returning in the near future. Really pleased Blue's has opened in Southampton & highly recommend giving it a try.

A few weeks late posting this but better late than never.We ate here on the Friday of jubilee weekend.After a disastrous attempt at eating at the other bbq place in town the night before, I had high hopes.Not disappointed at all!Food was amazing!!!Brilliant service from start to end.Great to chat to the manager too about it being new.Oh and his beer aspirations for the place. 😀We will be back down again in October and will definitely be paying you another visit.

Pleasant enough experience, food reasonably priced. Cocktails SUPER strong. The onion bundle was really salty for some reason. Portions good, prices reasonable. For me as an experience though it was missing something, I can't place my finger on it, 4 out of 5 stars.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning, coctails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beers. The staff was also amazing, especially our server Jagoda, you can tell she loves the job she does. Love this place and will continue to visit!

Lovely customer service, I asked the blonde waitress what beers they had on tap, she then went to bring out individual samples of the IPAs that they did, spoke to me about my taste preferences, ultimately bringing out the best tasting one (beavertown bones) whilst providing lovely conversation and attention.One of my other party members was trying to decide which cocktail they wanted to try, the two female bartenders were more than informative on the flavour and appearance description, happy to recommend a suitable cocktail (a blue hawaii) for my friend, they could not have been more impressed with their experience, and the drink!The food (having ordered the brisket and surprising to see tasty burnt-ends was full and authentic to deep-southern flavouring and richness without being too overwhelming to discourage the texture and natural juicy flavour of the meat. The kitchen were more than happy to adjust the portions of burnt ends after trying a sample out of intrigue which could not have been more appreciated and left a very filling and pleasant appetite.Very happy with how the staff treated myself and the party at my table, the manager themself being more than considerate with if we had any seating preferences and being more than happy to let us take our tine deciding our orders whilst engaging in conversation with us, a real human experience by engaging with us, felt cared for.The rest of the staff were more than happy taking dietry adjustments to food orders, giving personal recommendations for what they considered myself and my peers would find tasty. I also witnessed other waiters, waitresses and bartenders taking care of each other, asking the kitchen and other colleagues if they needed anything to drink or help with anything, without sacrificing the attention to their customers, truly admirable of the staff!!!The vibe from the restaurant and its staff, both upfront and the kitchen was friendly, upbeat and just wanting to enjoy a proper blues experience.10/10 have to visit again!!!

Absolutely amazing food, gorgeous cocktails and great atmosphere. The staff are quality could not do enough for you. Big shout out to the chefs, melt in your mouth food. Best mojito in the world and I've had a few. Definitely be back again 10 stars 🌟

Went today a few days after opening, food was very good. Ribs were so meaty and tender. Little bit disappointed they had no corn bread, or corn on the cob available for side, but they've just opened so can be forgiven, 4.9 stars was looking forward to some cornbread

Went down to Southampton for the day and spotted this restaurant at the end of the high street. The food was stunning and cooked perfectly and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place. 10/10

Repeat visit after a delicious lunch last week. So looking forward to trying out more of the menu. Visited with friends today , waitress was lovely but we ended up sending the cold BBQ beans back . Asked for vegetarian macaroni cheese kids meal arrived dry with chopped frankfurter topping ! The requested cheese with the kids hamburger was missing. The onion bundle side appeared smaller and old. Lots of little things that made a much anticipated visit disappointing. We were given a free cocktail much appreciated and the rest of our order was nice. But with just three tables the restaurant was not overwhelmed.

Came here for opening night tonight as they had free food and drink vouchers on offer. Great decor, easy-going friendly american dining, good for lunch or casual dinner. Staff were all very friendly. They had live music which made for a good atmosphere but was waaaay too loud!! Couldn’t hear each other speak. The meat platter was nice, although served cold but can’t really blame them as its their first night and obviously just cooking in big batches to fill orders. Nice flavour of meat and all cooked well, the sauces all have funky flavours which either you’d like or not like. Great choice of meats and cocktails so excited to try more. Would consider coming again to try more. I would say its comparable to Red Dog Saloon but maybe more relaxed?
