Bellemoor in Southampton

Great food, great service, great postions cooked to perfection. The presentation was fantastic. Staff very accommodating. Decor is a home feel. All in all really enjoyable and would definitely recommend!

Hi, the service and the beer were great. Those things are always good in this pub, and usually the food is pretty good, so this review relates to the fish and chips. Hey, listen, I paid £5.50 for it and why should I complain? Well, it was the batter. it was sort of soggy. I really would have preferred to have paid more and got great batter. The fish was ok, but it also seemed to have emerged from the freezer. This is nitpicking, and I will come back, and eat and hopefully your batter will be better.

The service would've been better. The squid would've been cooked a bit longer in the fryer. The sweet potato fries were undercooked but still edible. But overall the experience was amazing, the table was really amazing with the layout as well as the little display. The bar staff and the manager was really friendly. I would recommend this beautiful tavern to many other people.

Lovely food, great price, only downside - we booked on the app and they couldn't find our booking. Seated promptly however. Would defo return.

Great food, really good service. Had an issue where we had booked a table over the phone well in advance for 10 people, turned up on the night to no booking, which threw our surprise dinner plans up in the air. They pulled through for us and eventually managed to seat us all. So a big thanks for that.

Food was great, service was superb. The staff were completely client focused and even though we had not made a booking they were more than willing to make a plan to get is a seat. Highly recommended anything with chicken. I had the hunters sandwich and the chicken was succulent. Well prepared and presented. Chef did brilliantly. We went here for Sunday lunch with my elderly mother. They gave us a nice table in the corner. Everyone was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely. Mum finished all of the lasagne and garlic bread, even though she said that she wasn’t hungry! We will definitely go again.

We dropped our son at Southampton Uni. Wanted to watch footie (not the desired result), plus eat and have our dog with us. We were recommended to come to the Bellemoor by another pub that didn't allow dogs inside. I asked if they knew of a nice family pub, showing football that likes dogs. The staff were very friendly. The manager/owner (?), called me beforehand to say everything was doable, and to check we were coming I guess. Very clean pub, including the toilets. Reasonably priced. The food was lovely pub grub. Very enjoyable. And with Southampton Common opposite to walk the dog just perfect. Will definitely be booking again soon. Thanks very much from Dave, Lisa, Alfie and Sasha Banks the dog. X

My local watering hole. Never had a bad experience here, very nice beers and a great food menu too. Staff are always very welcoming, and even during the strictest of covid restrictions were still friendly as ever. Lost count of the amount of visits I've made and I'm always happy to come back. Brought friends and family who have said the same, a very nicely run pub. Live sport on quite often which is fantastic for a sport fanatic such as myself, and a quaint place for a drink in the evenings too. Very pleased to make it my local, and will continue to come until the place shuts down or I have to move away!

Fab food and very quick service by very helpful staff.. 😁 Had the steak and ale pie.. Massive tasty pie.. And strawberry and vanilla cheesecake.. Also lush 😋😋
