Eastern Nights in Southampton

Ordered via "Just Eat" website. Phoned for an order update after delivery window had been missed by 30 minutes and was told "the driver had just left". Gave it another half hour and phoned again - the driver had left "about 15 minutes ago". Cancelled the order.10 minutes later their driver turns up. Advised their driver the order was cancelled and not wanted now as a refund had been received (which was only done when I threatened to raise complaints with Just Eat and PayPal).Had a cheese sandwich instead... Very nice.

Disgusting service. Ordered food to be delivered between 7.25 and 7.55. At 8pm I called to ask where the order was to be told it was out for delivery. 8.40 still not here, we were lied to on more than once occasion. Had to get a refund from just eat. Delivery man has just arrived at 9.10 with cold food! Sent him away and explained it wasn't good enough.

We eat at this restaurant a few times a year and have been doing so for quite a few years now. I have to say we are always impressed with the variety and quality of the food and not forgetting how reasonably it is priced. The staff are friendly and polite, nothing is ever to much effort. Great local Indian restaurant which in my opinion is worth a visit.

Brilliant food and a very friendly service. I had a chicken tikka jalfrezi and it was lovely. A bit hitter than my previous jalfrezi experience, but still very nice indeed. Big chunky and meaty chicken portions in the dish. Very impressed.

Ordered food tonight, 28th Dec, got family coming around so ordered a lot of food. Waited for 90 mins, ring the place, no answer. Then we find out the place is closed. Now eating from another Indian, 2 hours later. Such a shame as we love this place and the food is always good

Wow what can I say, brilliant food and the service was excellent. Really good value with big portions. Definitely will be back

Hello,I spent £35 with you tonight . 1, The delivery was very late I had to phone you 2/3:times and when the delivery man eventually turned up I was outside my house looking for him he came over handed me the meal bag .I said to him I would imagine it’s cold now, He said yeah most probably. I couldn’t BELIVE what he said to me .It was cold we heated in the microwaveThis will Be the last time We order or even come to your restaurantAbsolutely disgusting.

Overall a good meal. No complaints.There was a good amount of chicken in the curry of which all sizes were pretty large.Maybe a little more sauce would have been nice.Prices are reasonable too. The customer service were good. Worth a visit.

Once upon a time this was a fantastic restaurant with great staff and a brilliant Bangladeshi chef- but sadly the most incompetent people have taken over this eatery and have no idea what they're doing. The waiter was unfriendly and excelled at sneering at us whenever he chose to acknowledge our existence. The food, which took an eternity to order was pretty average, but guess health & safety not a priority as one of our party has been very sick thanks to the obviously poor hygiene in their kitchen. Will never go here again and suggest anyone considering it should seek alternatives.
