Lovely hotel, definitely stay here if you're in Southampton, the rooms are amazing. My only complaint about the rooms is that I couldn't turn the radiators off, the weather had taken an odd turn and was quite warm outside which meant the room was really hot!Breakfast is delicious too, but please add like a bacon sandwich to the menu, I got some strange looks ordering some toast and bacon so I could make my own.

Superb. Delicious food and efficient service. Very generous portions meant we were too full for pudding!! Will definitely return.

What a lovely experience! From the welcome on arrival to the goodbyes on leaving, the service was excellent. Well timed intervals between arrival, taking orders, removing dishes. Food arrived within the expected times of being prepared freshly. As for the food, wow! Portion sizes were really good, everyone knowlegdeable on each dish and willing to adapt to requests.Decor and layout is good, without it trying too hard to be uniquely Italian. The touch of a fresh Protea (Pincushion) on each table reflected the pride they have in their place of business.Everytime I am near Southampton, I will certainly dine there. Highly recommended.Cecilia ShielsCesamè Travel

Really enjoyed it. All the staff are friendly and attentative, don't even think we had a specific waiter helping us as they all stop by at some point. Food was good too. Definitely worth a stop. Bookings on weekends required.

I have been dying to go to Ennio's as I run past it every day. I ordered the Calamari and the Carbonara. My Partner got the scallops and fish. Everything was very good. The portion sizes were really good and I came out feeling very full. It has the atmosphere of a traditional Italien restaurant with the deep red carpets and walls. I went for my birthday and Ennio's was definitely a treat.

AVOID. Very RUDE Staff. I booked a table on Monday for Saturday night, the telephone handler a male receptionist told me the restaurant was fully booked at 8pm but I could come for 9.30pm to have a meal. Had friend down from Devon. walked in to be told kitchen closes at 9pm, they wouldn't seat me. My name and number wasnt in the book which the receptionist took from me over the phone. I asked for a email confirmation at time of booking which I didn't get. They were rude and borderline abusive when it wasn't called for. Asked to speak to a manager but was told no one was available. worst experience at a restaurant ever and I eat out alot. Bella Italia or zizzihas far better customer service then this place.

Just had the best dining experience in years. Fantastic service and ambiance. But more importantly, exquisite food. Both in terms of flavour and presentation. Not easy when catering for a large table. Thanks to all at Ennio’s.

I booked a room at this hotel last weekend while on the move as I was to be very late arriving into Southampton. No where during the booking process did it clearly and obviously show that there was a last arrival time at the hotel, nor that there would be a charge for a late arrival (After 8pm)The hotel phoned to find out where I was but after agreeing that I wouldn't be there in time, and that the reservation should be cancelled, I was still charged.Very disappointed.

An amazing evening and dinner. A restaurant with a charming and classic feel. The staff were incredibly friendly, had a good sense of humour and all waiting staff were there to make sure you weren't waiting and were enjoying your meal. The food was incredible, one of the best we've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend!

Feel like I must have been to a different restaurant than all these other reviews.Service was good, but we were sat in a passage way to the kitchen amongst three big groups and it was very loud. There were plenty of other empty tables in less cramped and loud areas.Food was okay. For the prices, I would have expected home made or at least fresh pasta. As it was it was fairly standard.
