John Lewis West Quay in Southampton

Visited this store ( Southampton) for refreshments in their "place to eat " its one of the best ones I've been to, swift pleasent service no uncleared tables, unlike my visit to the Leeds store some weeks ago. Southampton yes a 5 Leeds just about 3 ! Any reply from John Lewis management?

I really must commend Caroline the lovely blonde lady working on Sunday 9th Jan in the ground floor Cafe. I was ordering a tea and scone and offered my "my John Lewis card" she didn't miss the opportunity to say have you got the app, you may have a voucher. I said I would get it and try to do so before paying, I fumbled with getting the app and she immediately offered to help guiding me over to a table and talking me through downloading the app, chatting all the time pointing out the benefits. I didn't have a voucher this time but it didn't matter I still had my tea and scone, mightily impressed by her friendly attitude going over and above to help - she deserves some recognition. Caroline is a major asset to the Cafe. A real star, she made my short shopping break very enjoyable and I shall look forward to checking my app for rewards etc

Washing machines great but we also wanted to get a sofa that was in the store and that said could be delivered in a week. When we tried to order online it said they were out of stock. A phone call, and we were told that there were none available and didn't know if there would be. Can't ring the store to find out why the sofa in question is still on display. Get sorted JL!

John Lewis is the best department store on the High Street use it or loose it ! By far the best choice of everything you ever want to buy and the best customer service you will ever find . Well done John Lewis keep up the good work.

Went to have a rummage around with the sales on, quite alot of good items for good prices! Went to have a quick look at the TV see what was new and about? Fancy the Samsung 55" but see what she says? 🤣 Very busy in there, everyone following covid rules etc, staff are very friendly, helpful and will show you where anything is! 5*

I have to say that my idea of what the John Lewis experience is, is beginning to diminish ...I feel that John Lewis's professionalism is no where near as good as it used to be..dirty tables full of crockery greeted us in the Place to Eat, on the shop floor staff members arguing in full site of customers.Also it's so hard to determine who is a staff member these days as everyone wears their own clothes ...so when you try to find help it's not easy to identify staff from customers.

Try phoning and you seem to get India. Unable to direct me to the store itself or the department. I want to 'feel' a sewing machine and before driving 35 miles I need to know its available to see if suitable. Otherwise directed to the website to buy straight off without knowing what it is.

Been in today because my smart watch useless after less than a year. No issues. Really helpful. Exchanged for a better one then and there. Wish every shop was as helpful

Large, bright, modern department store in the centre of Southampton. If you like the John Lewis brand, you will love this store. It feels as though it stocks everything and quality is high, but it also feels expensive. Well trained, friendly and helpful staff. The quality of the hot food was poor when I had fish and chips there recently, so I won't be eating there again. It might be better when you eat there, but the restaurant has lost my custom now.

Disappointed the hot food wasn't available in the restaurant but still our favorite store
