Kuti's Royal Thai Pier in Southampton

We had Indian menu in there. Group of 12 people And food was the best to have it in Southampton. We hadChicken. Gun powderMix platter of meat optionGulafi kababBiryani both lamb and chickenFresh saladPrawn curryChicken mirch masalaLamb karahiSimple yogurtSimple Naan with butterQeema naan..All were yummy..We didn't like vegetables curry, prawn curry..Chops in platter...Everyone was. Very very polite and nice and full of energy..

Amazing food. Reserve a table in advance as it is really busy, unsurprisingly!

Sadly disappointed this evening. The restaurants had overbooked and with a large party going on upstairs and large tables downstairs, the wait staff and kitchen staff could not cope. Took an hour to get starters and almost as long to get served our drinks. Had to go looking for staff to put water on the table. Our food was fairly decent but arrived cold. Our complaints were addressed and reflected in the discount off our bill but I would not consider going there again for a special occasion.

Had my wedding here approx 18 months ago and I'm glad to say it is still a great place to be. The food is wonderful if a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for and is totally worth it. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion including a wedding

Even 1 star is too much, as the staff and manager are hopeless. I called the restaurant on Friday lunch time to book a table for 5 on Saturday the week after. A lady answered the phone gave me a time slot between 6 and 8:30, which was ok for us. She asked me my name, mobile number and email address and everything was booked and ok. By chance, I called them again on Wednesday to check where we could park and they told me they couldn't find my booking and the lady that booked me in is not there yet, and she will call me as soon as she gets back. I've waited until 6PM but no call from them. I've called them back. First they advised, she had forgotten to transfer my name to the main book! Then they said, she forgot to call me to let me know that restaurant is fully booked! I was very upset, and they passed me to the manager which was even worse, as he was rude to me and advised that that lady even can't remember talking to me! He then advised the restaurant was fully booked two months in advance. In the end, I've been put in a very embarrassing position as some of my guests are travelling to Southampton for a birthday dinner, which we will have to cancel because its to late to book else where, as who ever booked me in, had forgotten to write my name down in their reservation book.

The waiters were very accommodating to us. The food was delicious and we were full by the end. I would definitely recommend. They have an outside terrace which is really lovely on a summer's evening.

We visited the grill upstairs for coffee while waiting for our daughter's ship .We had a lovely view from the terrace. We liked it so much went back for tea and the chef let us order some cheesecake too even though they were preparing for evening service! So friendly and welcoming we will be back next time she is in Southampton!

Absolutely amazing Thai restaurant with amazing views! You will not be disappointed!Be sure to visit the terrace!

We went for the buffet and whilst the starters were excellent the choice of mains were bland and tasteless. For £17.50 a head I think that's not good enough. The service was good although we were asked to wait intil they refreshed the buffet before we went up which took them a good ten minutes.

Buffet has a good selection and they can cater when the restaurant is busy too.I went with a party of 75 and probably filled the place to about 25%. Even with that number at the same time, it was excellent and no problems.If going on your own, or with your partner, the food in the restaurant is better than the buffet, so make your choice according to your occasion.
