Leelawadee Thai Restaurant & Tapas in Southampton

We've enojyed dining in and takeaway from Leelawadee several times, and the food has always been tasty. However, our takeaway last night was disappointing as a piece of chicken was found in our Spicy noodles with Tofu.

Absolutely wonderful dining experience here. From the lovely service to the flavour-packed dishes, our pre-theatre meal was brilliant and the perfect way to relax before Les Mis!The spring rolls were crispy and fresh and the satay had so much tasty chicken for starters. Then the chicken & cashew nut stir fry was packed with fragrance and the green curry with tofu was magic. I especially appreciated the tip on how to serve up my sticky rice when it’s cold.Booking is essential before 7pm as it’s so popular among theatre-goers and we saw several people turned away, but booking was easy enough and it’s worth it.

Ended up here by chance for a pre-theatre meal. The food was incredible and the service was attentive and friendly.I have various dietary restrictions but I had the rare luxury of choice and my husband (who eats anything!) was genuinely impressed too.Surprisingly good value for a Thai meal as well!Definitely coming back!

Visited here in Feb '22. I tried something new and wasn't disappointed! The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone keen on Thai food or just exploring something different.

I've got to say this place was lovely first time there and the food was amazing I don't normally ask to box what was left but I'm having it for dinner tonight. What made it special was the table service loved it going again soon

Went here before Covid lockdowns and food was amazing but unfortunately visited in Feb 22 and very disappointed. Can only think there has been a change of management. Sea Bass had no flavour at all, was just like boiled in water and few bits thrown over after and was just a fillet, not whole fish. Duck Meat in curry was tough and not of the previous good quality. Restaurant had no atmosphere and some guy who knew staff spent his whole time chatting up the waitresses.

Can highly recommend this lovely Thai Restaurant. I had a green curry with steam rice and Papaya salad and enjoyed it much.The staff members are very attentiv, proffessional and friendly. The restaurant is clean, nice decorated and you just feel at home immediatly.

Really excellent food, some of the best I've had in a while! I hope to return here soon for more delicious pad thai! Nice environment.Staff were very friendly, and dealt with some difficult customers on adjacent table calmly and professionally.

Amazing Thai food. Mouthwatering and wholesome. The place is a bit crowded, but the overall environment is cosy and homely.

Curry and Pad Thai are delicious !! Very thailandish eating environment, our server is a very kind and friendly girl.
