Medbar La Penthouse in Southampton

Plays really good selection of music, some older stuff mixed in to new. Only issue was I noticed a bit of a repeat if you're there long enough. Bit like on the radio it seems songs come back round. Toilets need sorting... How hard is it to put a lock on a door? Also... Maybe covid has made me more aware but the amount of people they ram in is mad. And it was SWEATY... It was cold and wet outside but inside was melting. Turn the air con up a bit as people were dripping 😂

They do Latin dancing here on Sundays. The times aren't that good as it's slap bang in the middle of preparing/eating dinner (18:00). It goes on till very late but if I don't eat dinner I get low blood sugar and feel faint so I have to leave early. The staff are lovely tho and the teachers are good.

Had a great experience for my birthday bottomless brunch. The staff were very attentive and fun, they even had us all up and dancing. The only downside was the toilets because they weren't well stocked and had a few "lock" issues but the atmosphere, food and staff made up for it.

Medbar is always my go to place for a good night of dancing. The Dj plays new and old hits and its a non-stop dance party. Definitely one of my top 3 places to go out in Soton.

Poor Communication and racial undertone behaviour by the Door staff. Black customers especially tourists should be treated the way white punters are treated. Not good for Afro Caribian music lovers

Was a brilliant night out until a staff member tried to take a picture of my girlfriend in a toilet cubicle and when I confront the staff was escorted out

Went with a group of 25ish friends for an event. We have pre booked, but we basically got nothing for that. Drinks are madly prices - seriously mad. Measures are good but wow, mad prices. Strangely seemed to be a lot of older single guys who literally stood next to the DJ booth all night just watching everyone dance - don't understand it and a little creepy

Very good atmosphere, drawn back there every night this weekend.. welcoming vibes from all the staff. Including the door staff which is unusual. Would recommend a visit, they even have themed and dance lesson evenings 🕺💃

Nice place to enjoy and evening in a classier area of Southampton. The staff came out to talk to us, we're personable warm and made the evening feel social. Nice cocktails ...possibly overpriced.

This place do the best cocktails in Southampton because they are full of flavour and use fresh fruit. The food is amazing especially the fish and paella. I am from the US and I always will come here and recommended to everyone
