Pitcher & Piano - Southampton in Southampton

I must say that this venue was the highlight of our trip to Southampton. We had such a great time eating many different dishes and trying so many cocktails. The staff were really friendly. The only problem was a seagull swooped down and stole one of our meals. Other than that absolutely superb. Thanks pitcher and piano 🙂🙂🙂

Erin, the waitress, provided us with outstanding service. Her cheerful and helpful manner made our visit a very happy one. We also enjoyed our food and the whole experience here in the Southampton restaurant. This was our first visit to Pitcher & Piano and we plan to visit the branch in Swansea when we are back in Wales.

The staff were friendly and they had reserved us a great table in the window with views over the marina. There was a large selection of non-alcoholic drink options and some vegan/vegetarian options for meals. Recommended.

My husband and I visited the Pitcher and Piano last Sunday with my daughter who is at university in Southampton. We all had the kids size roast dinners as we wanted to have room for a dessert.My daughter decided to visit the Pitcher and Piano again this Sunday with her friend. They, again, ordered the kids size portion but they had the roast chicken whereas last week we had the beef and nut roasts. They were advised that it would be an hour wait if they wanted the nut roast.However, when it came time to pay they found that they had been charged full price for their meals. They queried this with the waitress, she then went and spoke to another waitress and they had a discussion. The waitress then came back and said that she didn’t hear them say kids portion when they ordered so they had received the full portion and had to pay full price. She said that they should have said something when the order was brought to the table. Well, given that neither of them had the roast chicken there before how were they supposed to know what size portion to expect? As the kids portions that we had recovered the week before were of a similar size my daughter had assumed it was correct. Despite arguing this with the waitress she was adamant that they would have to pay full price, which they did.We had enjoyed our meal the week before and planned to return on our next visit to Southampton but this has left a bad taste.Note to self, apparently you have to ask the waitress if the order is correct when they bring your meal. Of course.

Happy with how accommodating Katie was with my booking for my birthday lunch celebrations for a large table. Service was really excellent and the split bills were sorted swiftly. Food was amazing would definitely recommend

Best evening so far at Pitcher & Piano definitely will return with family and friends, food and drinks first class, friendly service from staff members. An amazing atmosphere and an excellent night out with a partner. We recommend anyone to tey 100% we will be coming back

Went to Pitcher and Piano last night for a birthday celebration. Myself and my husband had the roast beef and it was really nice! Everything was cooked and presented perfectly. I also had some cocktails that are reasonably priced considering the comparison with other places I have been, a lot of the cocktails have some entertaining quirks which makes the price worth it. The food was priced very well. The staff are very accommodating and polite. I will definitely be visiting again. I have only given 4 stars because one of my cocktails wasn’t exactly as described due to running out of an ingredient, but really not the end of the world.

The food and the serving were super good. I like this restaurant a lot. The pricing is fine. It has a great view.

Lovely atmosphere went for lunch after trying 8 other places. We really wanted a sandwich but nowhere does those any more, so we had some lovely skinny fries and garlic bread which was delicious, service was good and efficient. Lovely views of Ocean village.

A perfect location for a date. Located by the Southampton Quay overlooking the boats. A very lush environment with an amazing view. Great for a Brunch or just a few pints and cocktails. The service is very good and very friendly staff. The food was very nice and tasteful, it was priced slightly on the higher side. However I’d expect this as it is in a prime location. A must visit restaurant if visiting Southampton.
