Smugglers in Southampton

The loaded fries were incredible! A good selection of cocktails too! (And 2-4-1).Service was good, but they didn't seem to be able to cope with the amount of customers on a Saturday evening.

Great place in Bedford place to have a couple of drinks with some nibbles. They have a beautiful beer garden. Friendly staff and good cocktail selection.

Made a last minute phone booking for 9 people and our table was ready when we arrived 30 minutes later.The food was lovely, well presented and there was something for each of the 4 adults and 5 children under 14 years old in our group.Selected cocktails were 2 for £10 and were some of the best we've had!Nothing was too much for the staff.

Travelled down to Southampton today with my mother and her 'besty', found you on google while searching for local restaurants. Thank you for accommodating us at short notice and finding a table for us inside. The service was both excellent and friendly and the food was superb. Just wanted to say a big thank you, which was well deserved.

I stumbled across Smugglers while in S'hampton for a night and they squeezed me in. The place had an incredible vibe, friendly staff and the food (and wine) was sublime. Great value and not your average city bar. Keep it up guys!

A hidden gem. Slightly off the beaten track but worth the 2 minute walk. A trendy style bar, serving good quality food at non extortionate prices.Beer collection was decent - lagers.Good range of spirits.Would recommend for small groups or couples.Bar staff very friendly with table service.

Roast was average. Flavours were there but the chicken was very dry chicken and pork belly was not crispy on top or succulent! Roast potatoes could have been a lot crisper too. Not worth the money and wouldn't have one here again, sorry.

Lots of meat options on the menu and seeing as its that inbetweeny bit after Christmas and New Year, we carried on the bird meat trend. Chicken burgers and wings to be precise.

Amazing restaurant with equally amazing staff (shoutout to Gideon for being so lovely and attentive. As someone who was a bartender and FoH for many years I couldn't commend him more!) and top quality food. Will happily be back to have a drinking night with friends. Incredible atmosphere and even a nice area to have a smoke/vape should you need it. Would rate 10 out of 5 if I could.
