Booked by friends I was pleasantly surprised with this boutique style hotel. Great rooms, very friendly staff. We had extra guests to supper and we were all very impressed with the food and the service offered pre cruise. Luggage store. Car parking for the duration. The breakfast was so good we phoned from the ship and went back to the Blue Keys instead of a doing battle on the liner. I would recommend this as a very painless way to start a holiday.

Great family run Hotel the rooms were very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. The bathroom is in need of updating but that is part of the next upgrade we were told. The food was excellent and plenty of it. All and all very good.

Gorgeous hotel sadly let down by the following issues.after a 6 hour drive we were tired and hungry. As this establishment is called a bar and restraunt we were disappointed to be told there would be no food ! The nearest eatery was 10 minutes walk away. We decided on a drink and crisps x we went to bed about half nine as we were knackered. The noise from reception and bar made this impossible. 2 late arrivals woke us after bar closed. We managed to get a few hours but we're again woken in the early hours by keys clattering at reception and the till going !The room itself was beautiful but needs to have a soundproof door fitted.Breakfast was really niceWouldn't stay again

My wife and I held our wedding reception at the hotel on Friday and had the best day we could ever have imagined. A massive thank you to all of the staff involved but a special shout out to Maisie. From the minute I checked in the night before my big day I felt instantly at ease with my surroundings and was very well looked after. My room was spotless and very modern and had everything I could have needed inside. Having never previously stayed at the hotel before, I was very keen to make sure that I was able to decorate as I imagined and taste some food before all of my guests. Dinner was divine, breakfast was delicious and everything in between was superb. Thank you The Blue Keys! from Mrs & Mrs B ❤

A really lovely family owned hotel. I could not complain about anything, restaurant facilities excellent, the bar area is perfect and the bedroom and ensuite was perfect for my two night stay. All of the staff were very courteous and helpful. All in all a great two night stay and when I am next in the area I will definitely be looking at staying here in the Blue Keys Hotel.

Stayed in Dec 17 for one night, as Australians it was nice to see Aussie’s were running the establishment. Breakfast was very good and gentleman serving was brilliant. Rooms were dated, bathroom needed updating. For an old gem, it was a nice find.

We booked a room for one of our engineers whilst on a job and he couldn't praise the hotel enough, the room was beautiful with Apple TV, the bar and food amazing and the general atmosphere great. He requested this hotel for his next visit which we have just booked for him. We highly recommend the Blue Keys Hotel and we will be using it for our stays in Southampton as a company from now on!

Seems like a lovely place. They have a system to let you in after hours that works well, especially if you're stuck in traffic. The location is good, near the park.Free guest parking and excellent wifi.Breakfast excellent.Rooms are large.Could do with bigger duvets on the twin beds, as a guy I hate getting cold every time I move in the night. Not quite 5 stars but no negatives.

Was a guest at a wedding reception there, it was a nice venue with good outdoor space as well as nice seating and a reasonably well stocked double sided bar, the catering was excellent. Would have been a 5 but the fizzy soft drinks had run out of syrup and were only just carbonated they were swapped efficiently once we realised but at £2.40 each for a large glass that was not much more than half a pint, they should have been right the first time. Also the car park is very small although there is quite a bit of space in road which is well lit and in a nice area.

We went to visit my son and his daughter down in Southampton, usually stay in a big city hotel, but for a change chose a smaller hotel this one was ideal. I took my sister and my daughter. We were made very welcome, the rooms were lovely very clean and cool, sometimes hotel rooms are too hot. My son and his daughter met us for our evening meal, we ate in hotel and the meal was very good and they welcomed my son even though he not staying at the hotel. He came back the next morning and had breakfast with us there, breakfast was another very good meal. All fresh and cooked to perfection. Well done chef !! We will stay at Blue Keys again without a doubt. Good parking space aswell. Thank you Blue keys.
