The PIG in the wall is a perfect stay for two.A very warm and homely little boutique hotel tucked away in the heart of the city. As you enter your room there is the sound of soothing classic fm on the radio and you immediately feel like you’re on holiday. The staff were all charming, the rooms were so comfortable and all the deli food was very delicious. We will definitely be back in the future!

Clean, tidy, The most incredible room & bath set up. Greeted and checked in quickly. Service at breakfast was both amazing and very tasty. Cooked breakfast was beautiful, mind your fingers on the skillet šŸ³šŸ˜‰

Lovely find. Amazing staff, amazing food and drinks menu, and amazing ambiance. Almost wanted to write a negative review so that noone else visits (..more space for me!)

Just stopped by for a coffee and a slice of chocolate brownie. Not busy at this time - but a nice sunny day to get a quiet drink. The interior is of a periodic natural taste. It’s easy to find - opposite what was the Grand Devere Hotel along the medieval city walls. It was a pleasant experience but my coffee was a little cooler than I expected.I’d certainly recommend it for the decor and it catches the sun during the day.

Lovely over night stay. Immaculate room, with a high standard of finish. Great breakfast selection and genuine, helpful and friendly staff

We had dinner here and the food was delicious and served in good-sized portions. The staff were all friendly and the service was excellent. The restaurant is cosy and well-decorated, with a lovely log fire burning whilst we were there. I would recommend booking as it's not large, but definitely worth a visit.Would be great for a romantic night or a small gathering of friends or family; possibly not the best for young children.

This Pig is a total rip off and I really wouldn’t recommend. We paid Ā£240 for a room that barely even had a window - it was so dark and dingy.Dinner was incredibly average and the set up is quite bizarre - it’s not a restaurant, there are just a few tables near reception. The service wasn’t great either, the waiter kept getting confused with the orders…I was totally and utterly shocked at the price of breakfast! Ā£12 per person for a piece of toast, some stale buns and a very disappointing and random assortment of a couple of other things. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels but I’ve never been more disappointed with breakfast - I can’t believe they’re actually charging for that spread!Save your money and avoid!

The Pig had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. We were however disappointed with our room. It was obviously the extra room they squeezed in the attic to maximise income. You open the door directly onto an incredibly steep staircase with narrow steps. Carrying a suitcase down them was quite frightening to say the least. The space around the bed was limited and you couldn't stand upright in places as you were in the eaves. The bed was comfortable and the products they leave in the rooms are delightful.I would definitely recommend a stay here but do request that your aren't in room 12 !!

We hired The Pig for exclusive use for my daughter’s wedding which included the 12 gorgeous rooms with breakfast the next morning for our guests. The bridal party stayed the night before so my daughter could get ready on site. The staff were so amazing, professional, friendly and could not do enough for all of our party. Whilst we were at the ceremony the staff decorated the dining area for us. We had met the chefs before who sat with the couple and put together an amazing menu for their day and evening. The reception was lovely, intimate, quirky style and the food was out of this world, the best wedding food we have ever experienced. Our family and friends were blown away with the whole experience. The bedrooms are simply stunning and the beds the most comfortable we have ever stayed in.I would definitely recommend this for weddings or special occasions.A great big thank you to all the staff and chefs for a truly amazing special wedding for the bride and groom

Surprise Saturday lunch… booked by visiting son. Splendid setting, warm welcome and friendly staff. Very pleasant traditional environs, very relaxing. Quality Delhi offerings, my wife loved the crab, my son and I had traditional bangers and mash. Let’s be honest, it’s expensive, but quite special and unique in Southampton. Booking necessary as usually busy. Recommend for ā€˜something out of the ordinary and something special.
