Possibly the best fish and chips we've ever had! Beautiful piece of cod and haddock in thin and crispy batter with home-made tartare sauce and mushy pies and well cooked chips. Fryer Jim told us he was a former chef and it shows. Lovely service, too. What a gem of a place.

I went there recently at lunch time. I ordered a regular fish and chips and sat down waiting to be serve and eat in, the fisher man just dumped an overcook tiny fish, with lots of chips, the shop was busy, but he was busy talking to his mates behind the cooking area. I was charged nearly £ 8.00 for the " Lunch Time special" with no drink. Very bad value for money, also he never bother to clean the dirty use tables so customers can sit down, the place was very dirty, dirty plates on the tables, he spend to much time talking to his mates instead of looking after the costumers and keeping the place tidy. Very bad food and service.

Excellent Fish and chips!Best I have had in the UK (ever not just this trip). You can appreciate the attention to detail and quality with almost all products being made fresh and all meals showing where they are sourced.Will be back!

Nice Friday night meal, however, we may have got the end of batch because our chips were slightly dry and the large cod was smaller than expected, so slightly disappointed about that but Hay Ho, I'm sure it's not like that all the time!! Would try it again!

The staff was really warm, the place was spotless and the food was fantastic! Great portion on a medium cod piece, and the small chip portion was big enough for two! Thoroughly recommend it. Beware, eating in is usually not available after about 8pm.

Absolutely we'll deserved 5 stars 🌟 for Anna and Jim who served today me and my husband. We don't felt we eat just fish and chips. Anna and Jim asked us if all is fine and if we like it. Portions was huge and tasty. Really recommend it. I will back for sure !

Friends recommend this place to us and we finally had some takeaway yesterday. Very impressed with the chips, and the fish was fantastic! 100% will get again!
