Lovely place to eat indian food, good use of spices and condiments

Great restaurant with a friendly service. The proprietor of the establishment is very knowledgeable and helpful with explaining dishes on the menu.

Could do with a make over need the india put back into it But saying that good crrys

Absolutely pathetic. Ordered paneer, lamb and stuffed paranthas and everything was of the lowest quality and very unhealthy. Paneer was all about food colour and lamb was too chewy (not tasty and tasted like rubber) and very very oily. Folks, Shahee Mahal is bad Cholestrol on wheels! Images are still better than the taste. Yuckk food! Never going to order again from SM!!

Was really Disappointing for an Indian restaurant if I’m honest. Just moved from London to Staines thought let me try here reviews look good! Now I spent £40 and the food came late, it was tasteless and cold, the mixed grill had no flavour or spice to it! I ordered salad and that also didn’t come. The meat should have been cooked longer as it felt too soft! I wanted to enjoy but even the Kema naan had no flavour Either, so not happy at all as I feel like I should of just driven to London to get my take away which I will do in future, will not be wasting money here again. Expensive for plain taste...tastebuds not happy ☹️

Beware! Just ordered this food thinking it would be bog standard. Anything but, in a bad way! The food ordered (lamb karahi and chicken naga) tasted nothing like they should, we're completely drowned in oil, and meats were shockingly chewy. They also provided what looked like mango curd. It was alive! Fizzing in the mouth! Defo off. Im surprised they were comfortable giving this outNever again would I eat here. You've been warned

We only visited Staines whilst staying at Thorpe Park and would recommend this curry house to any visitors. Warm and Friendly reception and a caring chef. We didn't know it was a BYO but luckily there is a small shop next door... We can recommend the honey flavoured polish lager as it helped cool down the mouth of at least one of our party after biting into a particularly hot chilli... Another of the diners in our group was mind blown by the small metallic lemon slice squeezer on the fish starter... So much so the chef gave her 2 to take home...it was like her own version of the little toy in a happy meal. Even "Derek" the trainee flasher at the window added to the whole fun experience... Tip to Derek you need to remove your trousers for it to work as you wanted 😂

Staff are totally unprofessional and greedy.I used to like this place earlier but I am disappointed now. The food quality is good but the staff are not at all good, they show arrogance / attitude when it comes to customer response.I and my wife went here 2nd time because we liked the food but this time we were not that hungry, hence ordered two rice items, then suddenly the waiter/owner came up asking "are you not going to have curry?", I replied in response that we are not that hungry, please bring us the rice items, then the owner/waiter came up again telling that "we don't take orders normally without curry".Are you seriously out of your mind ?, How can you ask your customers to have curry forcefully ??, If you are so greedy, then ask for charity rather than forcing people to have that they don't like.At the end when we asked for the bill then the waiter/owner gave the bill without chocolates but when we went last time they gave us chocolates as the bill was over 20pounds, as the bill for us was less than 12 pounds this time they were asking us pay in cash, I didn't withdraw money beforehand, I told them that I can only pay with card then they told that I have to pay 1 pound extra for service charge, ... Really greedy people..I would suggest everybody to go some other place the owner/waiter respects you. I would never recommend my friends or family to go to this place.I am really disappointed with the kind of attitude.

I visit this marvelous restaurant often since I enjoy the good air that is exist in this restaurant. The staff is extremely loyal and qualified. The service is exceptionally rapid. Needless to say, the food you eat is magnificent. I have been there more than once and I was always delighted. The payment is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.
