I worked here for a year in 1999, and it went way downhill after that. Newish owners again but it is vacm to the old standard. God quality food, good service and great decor, totally recommended.

I've taken a few days to calm down & think through this review as I didn't want to just instantly react in the heat of the moment. **These are my personal opinions**.So on Sunday April 3rd me and my wife decided to go out for a roast. We have a few places we have been to regularly before but, wanted to try somewhere else. We checked as you do the local area & hit upon The Feathers. It looked really good & has rave reviews so we were drawn to it. We arrived & though they were busy they found us a space which was great & the start of some really great service. We were offered drinks very quickly so more great service. We received a menu but before we had had time to contemplate it we were asked if we'd like to order but we weren't ready which seemed a bit over eager but much better service than some places who leave you waiting & waiting. The food arrived fairly quickly so again great service but, the food is where the problem lies & the reason for 1 star rating. The vegetables were sparse & a little to underdone , the beef was a bit dry & looked sorry for itself, the pork belly was overdone & the skin was incorrectly prepared & cooked for crackling purposes, the roast potaoes were badly executed, 3 quarters white with just a small area 'roasted we both had 3 very small one. Then there was the small stuffing ball...mine was black, dry & tasteless I put it in my mouth & had to spit it out. The gravy was ok & the best part was the yorkshire pudding. I didn't want to react whilst at the venue & when asked how the food was I replied that I can't tell you other than I ate the food because I'm paying for it. I paid & we left quietly. I'm sorry about the review (but I needed to get it out or it would bug me forever). as the people were lovely, friendly & offered great service but the food was a total letdown.

Never been before but as soon as we walked in for lunch i knew it was going to be lovely! Staff very friendly and welcoming, absolutely loved the decor, the food was really tasty. Love the fact that dogs were welcome ! we will definitely be back thank you !!

I was really surprised to learn that the pub serves Thai food. There is nowhere else in Staines to get Thai food (yes it's not a particularly cultured town). Having a dinner reservation at a restaurant in the early evening, I decided to share phad Ka prao with a friend. It was very nice. It was on the mild side so next time I'd ask for it extra hot. Good value for money and a nice ambiance to the pub with plenty of outside seating. I look forward to returning for a full meal soon! Good value for money (£6.95 for veg phad Ka prao with rice)👍

Andrea was an incredible host and the pub had an excellent all round feel to it.They had an excellent range of bespoke spirits, and the green tea was especially good.Will definitely be back again!

New menu is better than before. Try it. Great selection of lagers. Pretty much all my favourites.

Disappointed by another pub which had been recommended ‘Three horseshoes’ walked to ‘The Feathers’ had an absolute beautiful meal. Claire our waitress was amazing and understood my fear re covid. Such a fabulous pub, interior oh my word, gardens are amazing and people friendly. Thank god we ended up here. Your loss Three Horseshoes. Definitely coming more often. Hooray for Claire, Tom and bar staff. X
