Good cheap alcoholic drinks with amazing food. Customer service is always exceptional. Greeted with a smile every time.

Very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble for them to please.The food was excellent and although it was very busy the food was served quickly and it was warm.I will certainly return in the future and recommend this place to others.

Awefull experience. Got my food served but no cutlery with it. Had to ask 3 times... Sadly only 1 set up was provided for 2 people at the table. Then asked for salt and after a while I was informed that there was no salt anywhere in the whole place so we had to eat our chips without salt. Horrible customer service. We won't be back that's for sure.

Very nice atmosphere, good food and all for s fraction of the price of most pubs in the area. Student friendly, staff were welcoming and a really good selection of food and drink. Would recommend a visit.

Used to be an excellent pub however recently after covid, the glasses are filth, fridges are broken so no cold bottles of beer, coffee machine broken, water leaking from the ceiling in the women's toilets. This place needs abit of attention. Seating up stairs where the bar is always empty! It's a hazard walking up and down with drinks due to spillage and someone could possibly slip! Hoping it starts to improve as a regular

I'm working on the bridge replacement for the next couple of weeks and was planning on dining at this establishment until last Wednesday, I ordered a large mixed grill, it didn't take long for my meal to arrive at my table everything on my plate was cold, I didn't realise until then that I wasn't asked how I'd like my meat cooked. I'm so disappointed 😞

We used to come in here 20 years ago and it's not changed a lot. Great food, usual comprehensive Wetherspoons drinks selection. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Will be back.

I agree with previous reviewers who describe this as a typical Weatherspoons. But this means a good selection of drinks and standard pub food at value prices. The George has two levels with upstairs much quieter when we visited in December 2021. Staff were friendly too.

Seems an ok pub. Went there on a Tuesday night. Not very busy. Had fish and chips and a pint for under £8. Fish and chips where very tasty and served very quickly. And the pint of punk IPA went down very well. so all good.

Have been previously, and everything was most satisfactory. Yesterday, however, ordered food and drink on the app, and the drinks took half an hour and even then had to collect these myself from the bar. The meals took a further five minutes, and weren't as good as usual.
