The Slug and Lettuce, Staines in Spelthorne

Not a place for good food. Nice view for a drink but food is terrible. I ordered smothered chicken the bacon tasted bad like it was out if date. Chips were edible and onion rings. My husband had fishcake wrap. The chips had hair in it had to get it changed which put us off our food. The waitress kept petting the dog near us. Was concerned about cleanliness and hygiene. Would not eat here again which is a shame location and views are great. Need a better chef and good staff.

Popped by with my daughter and my puppy, and a beautiful and bubbly lady called Deana made us feel so welcome! With gorgeous cocktails and very dog friendly! The manager is also a lovely chap :-) will definitely be coming back again

The service was slow. My friend's cocktails arrived with multiple dead ants in each drink, and rather than apologising when I went to show them the drinks, they simply asked me to sit back down and that they'll make the drinks again. The food wasn't very good and the portions were much smaller than expected. I won't be going again and I recommend no one else does either.(This was in August 2021)

Saturday night was a fantastic night all staff were brilliant but big thank you to the little white girl with brown curly hair, I cannot remember her name I think it began with an F or a S?She was fantastic absolutely delighted to have met her!!!!She gave brilliant service and made our night stress free, she went above and beyondThank you all so much I’ll defo be returning next weekend☺️

Great to sit outdoors in the sun during afternoon. Nice atmosphere and staff only issue is that it tastes like all the lines need cleaning, literally every time I've been in. Would go back if they clean the lines properly.

Had a Christmas lunch here today at Staines for 16. The food was really lovely, the staff were very attentive, couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended. Thank you all, but especially Charlie.

Had an amazing night with the girls. Great atmosphere, delicious cocktails and a huge gin selection! Dale and Cian made our evening with their exceptional service, will certainly be back soon!

Not the best food eaten. Firstly not even worth £40. This is a complete rip off, the food looked like it was cooked by a uni student honestly. Secondly one of the meals was missing the side of peas.. Thirdly, it wasn't even warm? This is microwave food, fair enough that's obvious and fine to have, but it's common sense to make sure it's at least hot! Would not come back again and not recommend.
