We arrived around 6:45 on a Saturday evening without a booking as we were traveling past, didn’t intend to stop.It seems we were lucky to get a table as they were busy, especially around 7-8 as there were queues of people waiting by the door. I overheard staff saying they’d seated 80 people in 1 hour, with two members of staff down!We ordered burgers 🍔, which was the same as what we’d ordered a few weeks prior at a Beefeater in Hayes. Seeing as it was so nice.Being completely honest it wasn’t quite as nice this time around, I had upgraded the fries and felt I’d received a smaller portion too. The chef had also forgot our halloumi starter which ended up coming out after we’d finished our mains - not worth the wait either as nothing special. But then it is pub grub I guess! Our waiter was great, nice guy who was rushed off his feet! I also went to the bar a couple of times for drinks and the female was very nice.Plenty of car parking outside. Toilets clean as to be expected.I notice a sign claiming the manager is Rui Da Silva - interesting to know he’s not DJ’ing anymore!! 😉

We had a really negative experience here. We arrived before midday for Sunday lunch, ordered exactly at 12pm and explained we needed to be gone by 12:45. We were the second table to order. Despite asking a few times whether the food would come out in time, we were brushed off. The food eventually arrived at 12:40. It was poor quality, and I was given something different to what I had ordered- I had asked for a 'Fake and Ale Pie' and, without being told, this was substituted for a dry, unpleasant slab of meat substitute. Our waitress kindly provided us with boxes to take some of the children's food away and, after being explicitly asked, took my meal off the price. However, we would definitely not recommended this restaurant!

Came in tonight 1st April at 5pm after booking a room and meal after our holiday from Heathrow. The man in charge of the restaurant was very loud very rude and very intimidating. He put us on a table after we had to wait to be seated. I asked if we could be seated around other people as wanted to be part of the atmosphere. He pulled the menus from under my arm and shouted in front of everyone where do you want to go it’s gonna be packed in a minute!!! I showed him a table we would like, he threw the menus on it and shouted it’s not much different from the table I gave you and walked away. It was very embarrassing and if we weren’t staying here we wouldn’t have eaten here. He came back after shouting to everyone it was his restaurant, he then looked at the order till , not as us and said what do you two want? Horrible experience with someone who just spent the evening shouting about himself. He was overly nice to everyone else and ignored me and my wife. Karen the waitress seemed to start her shift and took over our table, she was lovely. The food was hot and Karen was very polite and friendly. We came here before our holiday and was looked after by Patrick, he was lovely and made us feel at ease.Definitely do not recommend with the horrible experience we had tonight with the chap in charge at that time.

Martin was superb!! He was the best made our evening fab. The food on point came hot and didn't need to wait at all. The desserts were delicious. Had cheesecake with ice cream and he popped in a flake for me....so nice of him! Went for a meal to celebrate hubby's birthday and we had a really good evening. Will definitely go back. Thanks

Good selection of food, well cooked and reasonably priced. Nice and open for seating with a nice atmosphere. Staff very polite and friendly. A very nice dining out experience.

Food and wine not quality I expected.Ordered a glass of Merlot, but it certainly wasnt. The food was not the quality it should have been, crispy cauliflower was soggy, salt and pepper calamari was very small bits.Vegan burger overcooked.Chicken dish had cheese in it which was not on the menu...seems the food was made of of stuff that was 'left over'.Not a place I would ever consider returning to. Doubt it had a proper chef!

You need to book a table at the moment, and even though the place was nearly empty, they won't seat you without a booking. This to me doesn't make sense. I booked in the car park for 10m later, walked back in and we were seated. The two waiters were knowledgeable and friendly. Good food and prices fair.

Even though this is a smaller Beefeater compared to one's I've been to in the past, this restaurant was still great and up to standard. Had no fault with the food whatsoever and the staff were chatty and helpful too. Would definitely recommend this Beefeater to anyone. Well done.

How can a place change so dramatically overnight ?We arrived late after problems on the I.O.W ferry but were very accomadating moving our booking back and allowing us to eat after a long day. Food was great and a nice pint of Guinness was very welcome. One criticism, very limited veg options. This morning however was like a different place altogether, We stayed at the premier inn adjoined so booked breakfast for 9am. on walking in there was a queue of people waiting and seemingly ignored for a while or told 'we will be with you shortly' eventually got seated and a drinks order taken. 5 minutes later we were told they had ran out of orange juice ? how does that happen at a place like that? our order was then taken and food arrived along what was supposed to be toast, in actual fact it was warm bread layed on the grill for about 5 seconds....really bad. bacon was inedible, hard as rock and hash brown was hard. staff were running about, obviously not enough even for a 'not busy' morning with way under half the tables taken. certainly not a way to start the day having to drive along the M25 too.*EDIT* Response to the owner trying to put me down, it's not a matter of not knowing how the system works...or doesn't work. so you think a plate of corn, brocolli, peas etc is a 'vegetarian option' ? As far as we could see there were only 2 vegetarian meal options on the evening menu. a plate of peas and corn cannot be classed as a meal. you prepare the toast ?...think the image says it all. and there is NO WAY the bacon was cooked to order, hence why it was left on the plate so i didnt break my teeth. If its a case of not being able to offer what you advertise without it being a problem then maybe cut it down to something more managable until this is over ?
