Gourmet Oriental in Surrey Heath

The best Chinese takeaway we have ever been to. We recently moved overseas and have never found a Chinese that can match Gourmet Oriental, so we have just popped to the UK for a few days and made sure to take the opportunity to go to this takeaway and we are really pleased to say that the food is still amazing. Highly recommended

Food lovely.ordered 2 small glasses of coffee and I was shocked how much for 2glasses way too much they charge..I must admit its really nice coffees😊.Overall nice foods but quite expensive

A friend recommended this takeaway as she is a long-time fan. The food was great - we particularly enjoyed the quarter duck + pancakes, the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken and the crispy chilli beef. I also enjoyed how Covid-safe the money exchange was when I went to collect it (a little disinfected basket for my change.) I also recommend they make the menu clearer that the duck pancakes already comes with cucumber, spring onions and sauce because the menu makes it seem like you have to pay extra for these and it's great that you don't. I would return!

Tried to order a take out tonight ,we were told 1 and Half hours wait (glad there so busy) we asked if we could get any sooner NO we can’t so we said we would cancel the order, we were told by the male telephoning to GET OVER OURSELVES AS THEY HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS.We have ordered there regularly, last time we ordered in fact they forgot to place our order we rang after an hour to be told no order, the lady was very apologetic and rushed our order through which we appreciated. But will not go back there again after being spoken to like that. Clearly he has no manners !!!!I have since been contacted by the owner, with an apology which is appreciated, we have been customers for years there, no more needs to be said, but we will return for our next meal.

We have always used Gourmet as it was the best in the area. However last evening was a huge disappointment. The veg spring rolls had no filling in them. It was just pastry only. Beef in black bean sauce was absolutely drenched in oil. The special mix Singaporean vermicelli was wet with no spice and hardly any ingredients. The Young chow special was just the same. Very very disappointing. It has gone down in the standards it used to have. Not sure whether I will used Gourmet Oriental in the future.

Been ordering from this place for years. Food always of a very high standard and staff are polite and helpful. Often my food is delivered much earlier than expected which is always a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

I've visited the Gourmet Oriental many times and have finally got round to writing a well deserved review.Always, hot, tasty and on time. Our regular take away, with an extensive menu. Delicious!

We visited friends in Frimley today and our friends ordered the takeaway from this shop. They told us how good food they are cookes!!! Oh gosh the food was so fresh and the quality is as good as restaurant. They are so so tasty!!! We will order again when we are around next time! Highly recommend!!!

I have never been so appalled at the quality or food and service we received today by the team at Gourmet oriental. We spent over £40 on our meal to have it all pretty inedible. The duck in particular was over cooked and very hard. We called up and was told we would have a replacement sent. By this point the rest of our food was cold. The second duck was even worse with only enough meat for 2 pancakes.I was told on the phone to get a refund I had to give back the inedible food. I've never ever had to do this ever. We felt like they treated us like criminals. We have been regulars and never had an issue till now. They have lost a customer due to the lack of customer service and the very poor quality of food.I wound not recommend anyone order from here.

My family and i order from this pace every few months. The food is delicious. Always ready quickly and very reasonably priced, good portions as well. Would highly recommend this spot!
