Spice Jarr in Surrey Heath

Got a takeaway Saturday night about 830 .Restaurant was quiet only 4 people in there.Ordered a lamb madras a chicken tikka masala Bombay potato and rice .Food came quickly.As we eat the meal at home.We noticed the chicken was so overcooked.The madras was a load of gravy (nothing else)with five pieces of lamb .The Bombay was ok .Won't be returning to this place again.No excuse.Restaurant was quiet.

I asked how much it will take to get my order and the answer was "almost ready"...waited 12 minutesover estimated time, asked again same question and i receive the same answer. End up leaving after 25 minutes witouth my order and still don't know what does "almost ready" means: 2-3 minutes or a few hours.

We ordered a Rajasthani Dish which had no taste and they have no clue what actually that means! Though it was categorised under the Chef Recommendation!Not sure who classified them to be an Indian restaurant. They even don’t know what isButter Chicken? I guess, they even don’t understand those two words what is butter and what is chicken . It was a curry of crushed coconuts with cold chicken breast strips. These kind of restaurants are the Indian restaurants bad. They should be immediately banned. It was like serving Beer in a glass where Malt Barley and Water was given. Diluted grapes paste as Wine!

Moved to Farnborough 5 months ago and enjoyed a takeaway from here almost every week which tasted great, on the last two orders the chicken has been awful and tough as though it was cooked the week before. Gave it the benefit of doubt to see if it was a one off bad week but two bad meals in a row tonight has meant that this restaurant will no longer be on my Deliveroo option list. Sorry but you need to go back to your previous chef/food standards.

Friendly staff, good service. But overall disappointed by food. Buffet £12.90 on website £15 in restaurant but not mentioned at booking which is no problem when the food is good… but all a bit bland tbh. DP thought his was like a chicken casserole, barely any spice. Chicken over cooked in all 4 dishes. Nan breads burnt in middle & lacking flavour.Starters we’re good.Got initially overcharged by £47.

Superb dinner. I hosted dinner for 25 ppl for my birthday, and they did us proud. All guests said the food was top notch.

My family and I have been visiting the Spice Lounge for many years and it's always been our favourite Indian restaurant. On our recent visit however, we were really disappointed. Although the food was still good, we felt the service and the overall ambience was spoilt by the constant hustle and bustle of people collecting takeaways and deliveroo/just eat drivers. The staff were extremely busy dealing with takeaways, the phone was constantly ringing and this left us feeling slightly neglected. We were extremely grateful that we weren't seated near the door because it was constantly in use! We completely understand that restaurants have had to rely upon takeaways to keep their businesses going throughout the pandemic but, surely, this shouldn't be given priority over loyal customers who enjoy eating in the restaurant. It's such a shame.

Just walked in by myself as I was staying in the area. Very friendly welcome and could choose where to sit. Clean modern decor (I sat near big bubble feature on the wall - very relaxing) and the food was to die for. I ordered Bengal Special which was chicken filled with spiced beef - very tender and delicious. Couldn't eat it all so had it bagged up to take home.
