Had the best ever corned beef and fresh onion roll I have ever had in my life. Also had a cake which was delicious. Top marks to a top bakery

My favourite place to get a suguage roll. The meat is juicy and moist whilst the pastry buttery. A hard combination to crack. When I think of the perfect suguage roll Barrows is it. A bit expensive but it is worth it. The sprinkled donuts are the freshest in town. A town icon.

Visited for the first time today and got fresh made cakes and a ham salad roll. Friendly staff and a lovely bakery. Will be returning soon.

On a trip into Sittingbourne today I stumbled across this bakery, it grabbed my attention from the incredible cake display in the window! I'm not sure there's a pastry or cake that they didn't have... I ended up buying 9 cakes! I haven't eaten them all yet... Promise... But I can say that they are the BEST cakes I've ever had.Let's get this bakery on the map, cannot wait to return 😋

Top quality fresh rolls a little more expensive than other bakers but worth it,nice gypsy tart as well...

Service was slow. Food was cold and nasty.Had jacket potato with beans and cheese.It came cold with no butter at all and cheese heaped on it and cold nasty looking cheap beans in a pot.That’s not how it should be served.When I took it back to tell them it was cold, the server bunged It in the microwave so the cheese had melted into the dry potato.Was over priced and the hot chocolate was probably the nastiest I’ve ever had and again over priced for what it was.

We had to order a cake at very short notice for our recent 50th wedding anniversary. The service from the outset was brilliant and the appearance and quality of the cake was superb. A big thank you to everyone at A E Barrow.

You will not find a better place to enjoy a coffee and something to eat, followed by the best bread, sweet pastries and pies or pasties on your way out. A treat all round. I should add that we regularly buy the most delicious large wholemeal loaves that they then slice (medium is our favourite - or large which is quite chunky) - our choice to move from steam-processed supermarket bread is one of our best decisions. Medium slicing makes the loaf go further.
