Initial treatment was fine - shown to table - given requested drinks - main course (no starter) arrived quite quickly. When we finished the problems started!!! After a LONG time a waitress appeared and started to clear nearby tables. I requested her to take our dessert order and she said she would 'be with us in a couple of secs'. She didn't. Wife and I decided we would not have any desserts, went to the till where an older waitress presented us with our bill (with the offer of 30% discounted) and accused us of rudeness! This comment was directed to my wife and a row started. Neither of us was rude, but we felt the customer rights and orders were in a higher priority to clearing tables. I know the lady who is normally in charge , she was not there - this one taking our money was, I guess, the senior one yesterday. She is not worthy of this position of authority and should be sacked.I know we won't be in any chance whatsoever of getting the £250 voucher, but then I very seriously doubt if we will visit this establishment again.

It is a lovely atmosphere there and we have been many times before. However, although the food was fantastic, service was quite slow last night, but I know it isn't there fault. Even the kitchen staff were helping out.We asked for a jug of water that didn't arrive, but didn't like to pester. There was one young girl who works there who is normally very jolly, but she was obviously stressed last night, totally understandable. The food was as good as always though

Random visit as we were passing! As we entered we were told it was fully booked before we even spoke. However once we got to the bar we were told if we wanted to eat we could in the bar area. All the staff were friendly to everyone and lovely to see the attention dogs get. Food was good. Other than the abrupt entrance everything else was fine. We would come back.

A friendly greeting on arrival was much appreciated and we were seated quickly. Our server made us feel comfortable and ordering was easy. Great food and a relaxing atmosphere made the experience even better. We randomly came across this place but will happily go back.

Being an absolute pain with an onion allergy the bar staff (we hadn’t booked a table so ordered at the bar) was amazing in making sure my allergy was well known. The kitchen staff made sure my meal was prepared away from onions and little allergy flags were placed in my meal.Even though they were busy, they were attentive and nothing was too much for them. We had a delicious meal with not too long a wait. Thank you so much

It was our first time visiting with my family for my Dad’s birthday. We chose The Gunpowder Mill as we have an 8 month old baby and friends had recommended it for being family friendly. The Gunpowder Mill didn’t fail. We felt so welcome and the staff were very attentive to my daughter who throughly enjoyed her visit too. My husband and I with our baby are moving back to Faversham and cannot wait to return. We’re planning plenty of visits in the future.

We were a family party of 11 who haven't seen each other since before Christmas. Some travelled up from the Kent coast, others from London/Kent borders and we thoroughly enjoyed a family meal together. All staff were friendly, courteous and professional. They gave us plenty of time to choose our menu choices. They were attentive but not pushy. They allowed a good amount of time between courses.I particularly liked the taster desert and hot drink choice. Usually desert is too much for me, but this was just right. We'd definitely recommend The Gunpowder Mill to friends.

The service was a little slow, but bearing in mind they had been going all day. Our food was lovely though, we had a tasty starter the calamari, then i had the roast pork & my partner had the roast chicken. All was delicious, i'd certainly visit again. Our service was from 4.00 o/c.

Everyone was quite cheerful and friendly although we object to be called darling from the waitress. When we sat down we placed an order for drinks and was told we could not order food at the same time but she would be back to take the order i said we did not have much time but that fell on deaf ears. So after taking a drinks order from a table of 2, then serving meals to a table of 4 the waitress disappeared, but when the got an opportunity to place our order when the lady brought over our drinks. My wife ordered an orange juice and when it arrived it was a full pint. For an old lady this is too much! We ordered off the £14 for 2 course meal and was very disappointed with the meals. The fish Goujons were more batter than fish, with a tiny portion of chips and what looked like a table spoon of peas. The biggest portion was the roasted 1/2 lemon, which i did not want. The desserts were acceptable. We then had to shout at someone passing to get their attention for the staff seemed to have perfected the art of walking around without eye contact with anyone. We arrived just after 12 and left without coffee 2 hours later for we had run out of time.very disappointed.

We are a small group of 6 friends and we had our Christmas meal with you. We had a wonderful evening, the staff were all so friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the prices are great value. We had a small problem on the bill, but it was sorted out right away. We are already planning to come back next year! The non plastic Christmas crackers were also a great idea and we are all looking forward to using our vouchers.
