Staff are very friendly and happy to help I’m here all the time. Food is always good and when they have weddings on it looks really nice I’ve not attended one here yet though

Good little hotel, food is nice. Rooms are comfy and clean. The room I was in had a full size under counter fridge so can keep drinks cool.Only negative is the driveway near the road is a little rough, but manageable

Well a week ago I described the carvery as amazing this week dissapointing gravy with little flavour cauliflower cheese with very little cheese flavour no parsnips and roasted new potatoes instead of traditional. Just not so good sorry - should be consistent.

My boyfriend choose this place for quick trip away. Outside look perfect, green and quiet.We was staying in one of room in White House, Beautiful room with kettle nd huge bathroom. Nice view from the bathroom too.I'm not sure how clean the room was because when we come in , the bin in the bathroom was an empty bottle of champagne.Shower has an information notice about switch on tap before using shower. That is ok but everytime when I want to change temperature of the water I have to go to the sink start and stop the tap. Also in this time the water pressure drops dramatically as well. Shower tray is super slipper and not easy to walk. I understand they're going to be slippery but when you have to move to and from the sink it can be s bit problematic. I had my shower and amazing boiling water then.After our stay we mentioned it to the lady in reception. She knew about the problem but nobody do nothing about it.We decided to choose the restaurant for a dinner because was looking very good and menu sound good. Lady who was serving us was nice and helpful on the beginning. I decided order a fish pie. In the menu wasn't any information about random sea food instead of fish. I have one prawn with tail and fin, one calamari ring and something black. I didn't found any fish there even.For next 10 min nobody come to ask how is the food, zero interest about customer. When the lady come back take the plates, she completely ignored my problem. No sorry, no exchange for different food (I didn't eat any pieces of this). Of course we was charged for this meal.Person in reception said this is "house" made thats why it has sea food inside. For me look like somebody was cleaning the fridge and add everything in the pie.See food is high allergen and this information should be in menu.The room for your information was 51.

Dont tell anyone...My friend was staying here and invited me for a coffee, OMG this is what service is about, every member of staff naturally friendly, lovely warmth about the place.Dog friendly. Lots of renovation, this place is.getting there with making lots of effort, well done I'll be back.

We came to breakfast with Santa and we had the best experience! The welcome was amazing with people dressed as elves my children got so excited the minute we entered the place. We was shown to our table and was given our breakfast great portions and food was delicious. Father Christmas then came round to the tables to give the children there presents and had a chat the children really did believe he was the real deal even had mrs clause ! After breakfast we could then have a chat next to the fire with the big man and have some pictures. It was amazing from start to finish we had a party of 14 in total and everyone has said how amazing it was Thankyou to everyone involved.

The hotel is unique and eclectic with the warmest of welcoming and friendliest staff. We got married here and every guest complemented the venue, staff, food, service, amenities and beautiful grounds. The wedding & events planner was always full of great cheer and excitement and the hotel owner was full of jubilation and outstanding support throughout planning and during the magical wedding. Thank you to Jason and Carlie from the bottoms of our hearts for making our requests come to fruition. The team as a whole are amazing and looked after us and our guests. Donna, Gill and Christpher welcomed and charmed us whenever they saw us as well as the other staff. Vegetarian meals and dietary requests were no challenge as they were well able to cater delightful veggie burgers, Vegetarian breakfast and not the mention the delicious vegetarian Wellington! We cannot wait to return somewhen in the near future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The beds are comfortable, the linen is good quality and the shower is powerful and hot. We ate here on one evening of our two evening stay and really enjoyed the food. Most importantly, the staff is excellent, friendly, accommodating and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble.The heating had not quite kicked in on this October evening and the room was a bit chilly. The heated towel rail was not in use and so towels (excellent quality) remained cold and damp. This issue was quickly resolved at Reception when new towels were forthcoming. We would not have expected this were our own towels dried. I understand that heating is now expensive but room prices need to reflect this. I would strongly recommend this hotel, it’s lovely.

Sons wedding. Lovely staff went out of their way to make the day extra special. Charley the events planner was wonderful 😊 The owner/ chef met us to make sure we were happy. The girl serving at the bar was brilliant 👍 thank you to all concerned
