Magic Wok Chinese Takeaway in Swale

The food in nice 95% of the time HOWEVER, the past 5 orders of ours have had something wrong with them (wrong item, food asked for without veg still had veg in, food items asked without chicken/prawns still had them in). Although the lady on the phone is apologetic I’ve had to wait in excess of an hour before or not receive the correct meal at all. They’re our local but will not use them again, last night was the final straw.

Food was alright, not the best one we have had I am fine but my partner has ended up with food poisoning like symptoms. Won’t be using here again which is sad because it’s close to home and easy to order from. 😑

Food ready on time for collection. Generous portions and tasty.

We started using this place extensively a while back, and it was generally really nice. They don't appear on the delivery apps, but will delivery from their website, and normally really quickly. The food has always been nice, a couple of missteps, but given how much we've ordered from there, it's to be expected. Worth using for the delivery times if nothing else.Worth noting - cash only, but 30m away from a cashpoint, so never been an issue.

Ordered 3 different portions of ribs tonight from magic wok. 1 spare ribs and 2 different flavours of mini ribs. Word of warning the mini ribs aren’t small ribs (baby back) they are the weird fatty, collagen, joint part with a little bit of meat on that you get on the end of the spare ribs you usually get. Bit misleading but they did agree to change them and promptly supplied replacements which where spare ribs. Spare ribs are very nice by the way as was the special fried rice. Delivery ladies were also lovely and polite and very prompt.

We ordered early for delivery and have now been waiting 2 hours after the expected delivery time!! Its still not here and my kids are hungry! The phone line is also constantly engaged so i cant even ring to find out where my food is! Such disgusting service from what use to be a good chinese. I wont ever order from them again!!!

I've been using this place for 7 years. It's pretty grim in terms of kerb appeal. It's actually a former KFC. It's showing its age and looks very run down and dated.But in all fairness the food has always been excellent. I highly recommend the vermicelli (Singapore rice noodle) dishes – they have a lovely smoky chargrilled flavour that I've not experienced from other Chinese takeaways.

After trying a few local chinese, i now always buy my chinese from Magic Wok. The good is always fresh and tasty. Sometimes when you order Chinese the dishes all taste very similar but not from here. The food is always ready on time and the staff are really lovely too.

Will not be using again!!.. had a problem when my order arrived as it had fish in it and i had made it clear that im allergic, i contacted the shop and was met with a cold rude woman who had the tone of somebody who clearly doesn't give a toss.. i work in the 'fastfood' industry myself and would take an allergy very seriously!! The service was below poor, one of the most pleasant things about this evening was the delivery driver!! I understand and appreciate that we are all human and errors are made but dont be so bloody rude about it!!
