Old pub in central Faversham with big garden. Lovely for a summertime drink.Didn’t have food on this occasion, but by all accounts very good, with new chef and menu.Booking advised at a weekend.

Ate at the Phoenix again this week, becoming a regular habit! Lovely lunch and great friendly service. Terrific value. Thank you.

Try to just have a drink, after getting greeted by a girl who looks about 12 telling you that we cannot have a drink although there was lots of tables empty with no reservation signs on the table. We was told we can have a drink in the garden (in January!!!!!!) so don't ca yourself a pub just call yourself a restaurant as you clearly do not want locals to drink in there....

A bit pricey for what you get. Great beer but food too expensive with very limited choice. Shame could be great as the staff are fantastic.

·

Lovely food. Well judged dishes using prime ingredients. Good service at a reasonable price. So good we booked again for later in the week.

Myself and my husband came here last night for his birthday. The food was amazing and probably one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was brilliant amd they catered well for my husbands birthday. Thank you so much. I highly recommend.

We had an overnight stay in Faversham and chose The Phoenix Tavern for dinner, the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked through the door. A lovely old building which has been beautifully restored and provides a very cosy and intimate dining experience. We ordered some drinks and my husband told the waiter he'd been served the wrong lager, it was swiftly replaced with no questions asked. The food was sublime, I had the halibut and my husband had the black sea bass, both beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. All in all a very memorable dining experience, we'll definitely be returning when we're next in Faversham.

Complete change of menu since a previous visit. Went in for pub grub e.g sausage and mash or handmade pie but it's gone upmarket withdelicious-sounding, but pricey for a lunchtime, dishes. Our fault, we should have checked the menu before we booked.Lovely atmosphere though and very attentive staff.
