Rose & Crown in Swale

A wonderful country pub. Very welcoming. We shared a table with another couple and had a great chat with them. Good beer, great garden and brilliant staff. Well with a visit. I hear the good is lovely too. And dog's are welcome and catered for!

Food was very nice, 2 cheese ploughman's, 1all cheddar, and 1 mixed cheese, couldn't fault anything and plenty of it too! Staff extremely friendly and helpful

Lovely country pub. Was nice to see doing well and busy. Lovely garden with pretty lights. Went for birthday meal. Fantastic food, and great quality. Would definately recommend and return.

Great garden area, under the wooden gazebo so out of the sun with a really pleasant breeze. Large group so food took a little while though was excellent quality as always

Upon arrival we where greeted with a warm welcome. Choice of food and drink was good. Three of our group had the fillet steak, all ordered to be cooked differently. Meal arrived and all cooked to order. Portions are good and food was piping hot. A small desserts menu, but after a hearty main, the choice is sufficient. Staff where around and only came when requested which is how we like it. Overall a lovely evening was had by all.

Have been here quite a few times in the past. Went for lunch. Ordered ham and egg. I got two slices of watery ham sitting in a puddle of water. Two eggs placed on top. Filling up half the plate was a pile of "chunky oven chips". I hate chunky chips and please note chips are deep fried, not cooked in the oven. Dry tasteless. Horrible.

Lovely food, wholesome vibe and very kind staff. Will definitely be back there. Everyone was very welcoming and food and drink arrived very swiftly, highly recommend !

Went with 2 friends for Sunday lunch, we all had the Sunday roast beef meals. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. A nice range of vegetables with the meals. Pudding was chocolate fudge cake which was so light and very tasty and chocolate brownie. Only critisism would be a bit of a long delay between the order being taken and the food coming out, in their defence it was very busy. The atmosphere was good and will definately recommend and go back, next time with our dogs as dog friendly and a heated hut area outside although we didn't see this, staff all very friendly and polite. Everywhere very clean especially the washroom facilities would have given more stars if I could.

Had work Christmas dinner here, it was delicious and filling, lovely local feeling pub and friendly staff.

Absolutely lovely pub with great garden views. Sunday dinner was grand... little herb garden at the rear of the beer garden with some great smelling herbs. Great management with a friendly service... soon to be doing different events. But always live music and even barber hair cut and a pint..
