Where is The BarnYard Restaurant?
🏠 The BarnYard, Oak Ln, Upchurch, Sittingbourne ME9 7EZ
"Situated in the Kent countryside, the BarnYard is a haven for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The venue, known as one of Kent’s best and most beautiful wedding venues, also incorporates a day-time restaurant, along with a French inspired ‘vintage’ themed gift shop selling beautiful home and garden wares (The Giggleberry Tree). Nestled in the heart of the Kentish countryside surrounded by 150 acres of stunning landscape combining rolling hills, natural woodland and romantic apple and pear orchards to wander around, The BarnYard is an enchanting setting for the most memorable day of your life. Tranquil, charming and unique, licensed for ceremonies and home to both a luxurious permanent marquee and our Barn"

Beautiful place interior design was lovely and views around stunning. The food I did get was very tasty well presented, staff friendly and helpful. On a negative two points:-1 walking to the entrance an electric cable going across which I had to step over could of tripped over and caused harm(I am trained in health and safety and this hazard not acceptable)2 on the menu all the sign were on at the bottom of page GF - gluten free or GFA - gluten free available V - vegetarian VG -Vegan which is great except not put next to dishes so I had to ask what was vegan making unable to browse the menu with friends and having to ask the waiter, these symbols are important also it should state on individual dishes any allergens possible in dish, this needs to be addressed and until these issues are addressed I will not be returning which is unfortunate as it’s a stunning venue with so much character

My daughters took me here for Afternoon Tea for my birthday today. They had been here before pre covid. My daughters felt that there was not as much food offered as had been previously. We were also given carrot cake which one of my daughters doesn't like. We noticed the table behind us were given mini éclairs instead yet this wasn't an option for us.We were not asked how everything was and had to ask for more tea as what we were given initially didn't allow us to have 2 cups each.Another table was clearly celebrating a birthday too. They were given a cupcake with the restaurant singing 'happy birthday'. I received no acknowledgement of my birthday whatsoever despite the restaurant being made aware of this in advance. My girls were left feeling hungry, very underwhelmed and extremely disappointed. To top it all a 10% service charge was added to the bill yet we felt we had received no service.I would not recommend The Barnyard and we won't be visiting again.

We had our twilight wedding at the barnyard on Saturday. We have had to postpone twice due to covid, and Claire was so great at helping us reschedule. The wedding day was perfect and everything ran so smoothly. Thank you

The breakfast was lovely and the service was great. High chairs readily available for little one. Nice and clean and good service. The pancakes are small and you don't get many so you may want to order something extra. The sausages are lush though. Would definitely return. For those that haven't visited for a while there was no food shop open and the animals have gone 😢

Visited today, Easter Sunday and had the roast beef, the food was excellent. I have been to lots of local restaurants, carvery venues and this is the best I have visited. Staff friendly and helpful , service prompt and efficient. I have visited before, for the breakfast which was equally impressive . Will be visiting many more times!!

Arranged a family reunion for 50 people. I live in Australia and had to do all arrangements from there. Lauren and the team were amazing. Price was very reasonably priced, venue amazing, service and food fantastic. Would definitely use this venue again

We had our wedding at the BarnYard in September and it was the most magical day, the perfect venue and setting for what we were after. We had so many compliments from guests on the venue being stunning and glad we dragged them there. We did drag our guests a while but without a doubt was worth it for the beautiful Kent countryside, gorgeous outside ceremony area and idyllic orchards. We had a BBQ for the main meal on our day, guests said the food was great!Without a doubt, we could not have chosen a better venue for us. The size, versatility and beauty of the venue are all amazing and you just have to see it to know what I mean. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this venue to anyone if they are looking for a beautiful outdoor and indoor setting for their big day.

I have recently photographed a wedding at the Barn Yard and it was awesome. I know my couple loved it very much too. The place has this really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. 100% recommend it for every couple who is looking for a great venue for their big day! Thanks, Zoltan
