The Black Lion, Lynsted in Swale

First time here, came in for lunch & we were not disappointed. Had a lovely fresh ploughmans. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Lovely beer garden too.Will visit again

Food quite expensive, nice place to visit on a good weathered day for beer which is a little pricey too

After a long walk, stopped off for lunch and a few drinks. Friendly staff, good range of drinks, including Heineken! Not seen that in many places around the area. Food was good portions and good quality. Good size garden area, so looking forward to going back when it's a bit warmer. Highly recommended for drinks, food and relaxing.

Nice cosy rustic pub, buoyant bubble atmosphere, had a Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings, anti pasta starter and 2 deserts, it was all perfect and the roast was large would have been satisfied just with that, but I have the appetite of at least 2 people 😋

A fantastic village countryside pub. Nice and super friendly staff who serve delicious food and drinks. The pub is comfortable and decorated to a high standard and it also has a nice beer garden with swings and a slide for the kiddies.The pub is kept nice and clean and we witnessed the staff sanitizing the bar and tables whilst we were there, so we felt Covid safe.There is also some nice countryside surrounding the village which makes it an ideal stop whilst out walking or cycling.

Food is excellent. The staff are really friendly and nice. You don't feel uncomfortable in there. Dog friendly as well

It was a Saturday afternoon and we popped into the Black Lion for a lunch and a quick drink. The place was nearly empty, with no atmosphere. The drinks were very refreshing but we were both very disappointed with the food. The meals we had picked out were out of stock, so I had a prawn cocktail. My friend went for a mushroom x Stilton combo. She was very impressed with what turned up but although it looked great on her plate it was not very nice to eat. The Prawn cocktail was a joke and the fact that I ate it was down to me being so hungry. It contained a lot of iceberg, a spoon of defrosted mini prawns and 3 slices of cucumber that were as thick as a piece of paper. We were looking forward to having a good lunch and we ended up having Kentucky fried chicken on the way home. The only good thing about the pub is that the staff are very friendly.
