The Jenny Wren in Swale

We don’t usually do reviews, however we came here many years ago, and if truth be told we wasn’t impressed so never returned. Ours friends recently visited. And they said they had great food and great service. So we decided to give it another go. We were wowed by the food and the service. As soon as we walked through the door, we was approached by a friendly accommodating team member, who was accommodating to us maybe eating outside, it wasn’t a problem. Our waitress Karen, well, what can we say, it restored faith in UK customer service, she was switched on to our needs and food requirements, observant and available in the area but not over the top, the perfect balance and went the extra mile. She may have served 30 table before us but made us feel we were her first. Pay rise for her please. Also young waiter next to us serving couple on their table, he too gave awesome service to his table. Throughly impressed, we will be returning with our family.

I visited for a few beers and something to eat. Really great service. The food was really good.

I went for a meal with my girlfriend on Wednesday, food was great, bar staff Jack C and Jack L were amazing aswell! Recommend

Lovely family meal last night. All requests accommodated for that were asked when booking. Busy, good atmosphere. The food was delicious and came quickly. Our waitress Chris was lovely, very friendly, polite and attentive. We will be back

Late afternoon meal, Warm welcome and great service from our server Jacqui. Food very good. Mixed grill cooked to perfection. Thanks to chef Mary for cooking steak to Blue perfection!We visit the Jenny Wren fairly often and have always found both food and service very good.

We stopped off here on our way back from a shopping trip so we didn't have to cook when we got home. We were seated quickly and disposable menus were provided. The menu was extensive and everything looked good. Food arrived really quickly so I was worried that it wouldn't be great but I was wrong. The portion sizes were good and everything was cooked well. I had the scampi which came with chips, choice of garden or mushy peas, tartare sauce and bread and butter. We also had dessert which also arrived quickly. A great experience all round. I have knocked off a star as all of the wire frame lampshades in our area had cobwebs that had obviously been there a while. Having said that though I would still come back.

Wow what can I say, the food was brilliant. The only thing better than the food was Jacqui the server. Her attentiveness was outstanding. Ensuring that the drinks kept flowing without the last drop being sipped. Her politeness and charm really shone through. I cannot wait to come back!

We had a great Sunday lunch. Our friend’s son has lots of allergies and the staff were so accommodating. They really looked after us and made us feel welcome. The hot chocolate fudge cake was amazing! Thank you

Very welcoming attentive service from waitress Chris , However the quality of food was poor . We both ordered mix grill from menu . The streaks were cooked to order but had no favour all other meats were overcooked and dry. The papper sauce was watery and no seasoning and no taste.We will return again due to the excellent welcoming demeanor of the staff but will try ordering something different and will avoid the mix grill.

The restaurant was clean, the food was really nice, well presented and generous, and the serving staff were all lovely. Drinks were delivered to our table, plates cleared shortly after we finished eating and the young man behind the bar was very welcoming and checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. I will be back.
