Honestly used to love this place but it's not the same was ignored by staff then one came in from smoking ignored us and poured a drink for someone she was with. Asked us to wait until she got her coat off before serving us. We gave booking name she couldn't find it and stood wondering where she was going to put us despite the dining area only having one table in use. The tables are no longer set up for silver service so had to use dinner fork for my starter and use the spare knife and for for my main.My burger was still raw on one side granted sent it back and they put it back on owner did give us a refund on that.Beer mats all over under ourbtable and pesky flies made enjoying dinner hard. The place is less a restaurant and more a bar vibe now.Menu is drastically smaller with weird concoctions suchs as sausage soup :/Female staff had hair down so had the clear hair from the table after she took our order. However I did enjoy our drinks. I had Pink Gin and Lemonade and the other half had Guiness. I also enjoyed my starter but could have done with some butter. My other half had the soup out of curiosity best described as blended sausage in taste. The bread was cheap and not what I'd expect to go with a soup. Crusty bread or a small baguette would have been better. The toilets were lacking toilet roll other than that clean.Sea front view. Not my best experience and was warned by people that it wasn't great wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.

Just had a absolutely delicious lunch, the best suet pudding I have ever had lamb and mint, mash and veg, the gravy was to die for. All three of us cleared our plates. Nice friendly staff and owners. Great atmosphere

A lovely day on the Isle of Sheppey. The Playa was superb, proper food, exceptional. The service likewise. Thank you for looking after our party of six, on a busy Bank Holiday.

Nice to see the playa open again as it's in a fantastic location to relax for dinner or drinks. Menu isn't very big but what has been ordered has been cooked and presented well and definitely makes you feel like returning. Glad to see familiar faces of some staff that are very friendly and welcoming. Will return regularly again

Nicola and her team are brilliant. Food is to an impeccable standard and We are just so glad to see the old owners/Managers gone as they were rude and incompetent! Thank goodness it is under new management xx

I have mixed feelings about this place and seem to need to edit my review every visit! After a poor experience on Boxing Day we were back again with friends on 30th and I must say I couldn’t find fault with anything - the food was great but also big thanks to Ellie who served us and was an absolute joy, I just wish the rest of the staff would take a leaf out of her book! We mentioned Boxing Day and got a free round of drinks by way of an apology and went away very happy

Loved it here. Visited on a Tuesday night so couldn't take in the sea front but the food probably would have distracted anyway. Salt and pepper squid to start and a steak and chips for my main. Absolutely faultless. This Tuesday was pie night and as good as my dinner was a fault I made the wrong choice when my partners plate arrived. She opted for a steak pie and it was impressive. No room for dessert so I cannot help you there. Staff were 10 out 10 and couldn't do enough and didn't pester throughout the meal. Perfect night.

Lovely pub with great food. The only thing I will say is put some blinds on your doors. As much as I love the sunshine, when the sun's in your eyes it's quite annoying. Apart from that I fully recommend. The staff are all lovely and friendly and the food is amazing (especially their roast dinners).

Significantly improved since the refurbishment. Everything plates to chairs and of course the food has had an upgrade. Delicious meals in a truly beautiful spot looking out over the sea. Yes the price is higher than other places but its to be expected given the quality of the food the location and the service of the very attentive staff.
