🏠 Conyer, Sittingbourne ME9 9HR

"Head to Teynham in Kent and keep going, you'll then find Conyer. A warm welcome awaits you here at The Ship Inn. This famous 18th Century freehouse – previously known as The Ship Inn and Smugglers Restaurant – has been completely renovated and extended to offer just the right atmosphere you would want and expect in a quality pub & eating house. Not only will the roaring fire, comfy armchairs, and wide choice of cask ales attract those wanting an enjoyable pint but food lovers will also be pleased to know that we offer a traditional menu using locally sourced produce. During the summer months the courtyard and garden is open offering panoramic views of the creek, marina and marshes across to the Swale."

I have visited this pub twice now and on both occasions I have been very impressed. The decor modern, clean and warm. The staff friendly and helpful and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. We had some bar snacks the second time and I will definitely be returning to have a meal as the food was lovely. This pub is dog friendly and makes each and every dog feel at home with dog treats bowls of water and a fuss from the staff.I am so pleased we have places like this to go as this public house is 5 star

Excellent food and beer at a great price. Really friendly staff and as a bonus was dog friendly. We had a day out at Conyer, a lovely walk around the site of the old brickworks then a great meal.My wife had the fish (which was huge) my son had the build your own burger and I had the chili loaded fries. Couple of pints of Canterbury Ales. Lovely.

Lovely little pub and quaint beer garden which is a sun trap. Found the food a little expensive for what it was. The Ham Egg & Chips was exactly as it said on the tin. 2 thin slices of cold precut ham, frozen chips & 1 small egg. A little disappointing, but it was tasty and filled a hole. Was hoping for a nice cut of ham and homemade chips for the price paid + maybe 2 eggs? Either way, it was very clean, friendly and a pleasant place to be.The specials of the day looked exciting. Will probably go for that next time & there was a good kids selection.

Beautiful country pub with very friendly staff and good facilities, clean toilets, a large beer garden and they're very dog friendly too. I'm not local, they hosted a family function for us, for which we are all grateful to all the lovely staff at The Ship Inn. Thank you all.Highly recommended to anyone who might be in the area, 5 stars all the way!

First visit and we loved the attention to every detail. Food was delicious, lots of thought had gone into its presentation and service was great. We were even surprised to find a live band which was an added bonus. Planning to go again and take a stroll around first as it's in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend.
