Tudor Rose in Swale

We ate here quite a while ago now. We chose the set menu for 2 which was quite reasonably priced and surprisingly tasty. The surroundings are old fashioned and definitely suit the name. Would recommend.

Visited with friends as they wanted to share what an excellent restaurant the Tudor Rose is. Excellent menu with a great variety of meals on offer. We settled for the Sunday roast, which I have to say was enourmous. Sadly we visited on the day the pub/restaurant was closing which I feel is a real shame. Thank you Tudor Rose for such a great meal, served by a really friendly team.

So me and my partner arrived at the Tudor Rose pub, a Waitress was rude to me when I asked if I needed to book a table, eventually we were given a table right at the back of the garden, by a bush full of flies and out of the sun. Plenty tables spare.. no sign display of reservations for other tables... moments later a couple came in was sat on a basic table like us; then they asked to move and they were moved straight away into the sun.Food was ok, not much to offer on menu of choice, beer was warm. Ploughman’s lunch was way below par, salad tasted like dish soap.Will not be returning here again, very disappointed.

Good food, great prices and huge portion sizes! I always leave with a doggy bag as I can never finish my dinner. Even if just having a main! But the food is always good. Only given 4 stars as pork belly was a tad dry. Service very friendly and overall, a great little pub 🙂

Lovely traditional pub. Dog friendly in bar area only. Sunday carvery smelled lovely and we'll definitely return to try it out.

Lovely food and ambiance - best chicken burger I've had and the best steak too. Really nicely presented children's meal. Staff friendly and efficient.

Visited for a midweek lunch, was still busy but got a table for food. If visiting at a weekend I would recommend booking. Good selection on the menu, order arrived quickly and had large portions. Food was delicious, pub is cosy, attentive staff, couldn't ask for more.
