Baldwins Butchers in Tandridge

Hi, I bought five chicken thighs and five drumsticks which ended up being four drumsticks and five very bony pieces of chicken. He did all packing and cutting by the bench so I didn't see what happened. So I even asked the guy if it was really five and five and he confirmed that it was the case. Starting to cook my dinner, it was very disappointing to see what I had been sold and also in trouble as I didn't have enough meat for all my guests. This is now the second time when I have been short changed by them, last time he tried to sell expired Poussin. Both times it was the same guy so either he needs to think if it is worthwhile to ruin the reputation or change his habits.

Bit hit and miss this butchers is: bought some great topside there, great ribeye also, though at £40 per kilo that is what I would expect to pay for filet. Recent oxtail purchase was not fresh. Staff not always wearing masks either. Shame really, without much hassle this butchers could be great.

Great for bacon, sausages, lamb and their special Italian eggs. So much better than the supermarket. Billy is especially helpful and friendly. Also lots of Cypriot food items for sale besides meat. We're lucky to have such a well respected and popular shop in our neighbourhood.

Expensive and terrible service, I asked for a brisked to smoke the guy attending us not only gave us a brisket for roasting with strings that when I opened it at home to seasoning it got in 3 pieces not working it for smoking at all but also he overcharged us and told us many different prices that he was increasing as he wanted. Definitely I'm not buying here again.

Found the quality of the meet very average and the prices very high. Especially as they cant even provide any traceability such as type of animal which farm etc.If your prepared to pay such prices you are better off making the journey to ginger pig.

We have been customers of Baldwins Butchers for more than 10 years. Always smiley and nice guys, great meat and overall great customer experience. They have a great choice of even less common type of meat. Highly recommended and the best in the area.

Great butcher! The meat is very fresh and the prices are fair. I noticed they also have a website for online shopping but, unfortunately, I have no clue how it works. When I try to add the items to the basket the website keeps asking me to choose the “product options”. But there aren’t product options to choose from…

I went to this butcher 3 weeks ago 5**** service not seen in todays world. Great choice of meat sausages especially the sheftalia its homemade and delicious. I was recommended to go there and not dissapointed one bit. I live the other side of london but worth the trip and will visit again soon thank you. I will recomend this butcher because they know what they are talking about and wish they would open another shop near where i live i would be in there every day.

This is easily the best butcher I know in London. I have been buying there now for three years and simply everything is spot on. the meat for BBQ is amazing (sausages, ribs etc...), you can tell their steaks have been hung for a long while, the chicken is succulent. I could rave on for a while. Last but not least you can get a range of game or cuts you will never find in your supermarket.

The meat is first class. Try the greek sausages which are delicious. As a Greek Cypriot I love being able to buy the right cut of meat based on what my mum's recipes require and the Butchers always know! Even my children come with me and are amazed at the different cuts available.
