Food is cooked well. I highly recommend the vegan burger. Friendly staff and prompt service. Nice outside seating areas. The garden at the back offers drinks and snacks only at this time. Beautiful decor.

Fantastic meal at the Barley Mow. I hadn't visited in years but I had a wonderful evening. The fire was lit, the staff were helpful and my lamp chop was huge, tasty and piping hot!

Nice pub, great staff but food was a bit second rate which was disappointing as it was our first visit there. The roast potatoes tasted as if they had been cooked and kept warm for a while and the salmon en croute was in a batter not pastry as I expected. It all could have been warmer too. Such a shame as good varied menu.

We visited the Barley Mow for the first time in many years today for lunch. We live in the local area and have been hearing great reviews so we thought we would try it for my Dad’s birthday. We had such a lovely experience! The food was delicious ( really good portion sizes!) , the staff are very friendly and welcoming and we had a great afternoon. There were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and we all loved it. They have a great Children's menu with good variety which is always great when eating out with little ones!!It was made extra special as the waiter had noticed it was my dads birthday and they bought my dad a complimentary drink and a huge slice of cake with a sparkler which made it extra special!Thank you very much for a lovely lunch today.I will be telling everyone about our experience and we look forward to visiting again soon!

The perfect mix of relaxed yet cared for - nothing is too much trouble.Catering for a group of 32 is no mean feat, you and all your staff welcomed the chaos with open arms, despite there being so many covers the absolutely delicious food was brought out seamlessly, everyone complimented the food. You were so accommodating of changes to meals and nothing seemed to phase the team.Thank you to all the team for going over and beyond with your service, getting me a cake and going over and above on the drinks. Your service could not be faultedI will 100% be recommending the Barley Mow to everyone I know and anyone that will listen.Thank you for hosting my perfect 40th celebration, the perfect mix of relaxed yet cared for - nothing is too much trouble.Thank you

After hearing about this place for years in searches but never bothering, we ended up there this weekend by chance when it was the nearest pub to our walk. I wish we'd come here sooner. The food was fantastic (best roast beef I've ever had when out for lunch - and how many pubs have their own bakery?!), the staff were lovely, the atmosphere and decor were good and it's absolutely a place we'll be coming back to. Highly recommended.

Beautiful pub with lovely food. They had lots of vegetarian and vegan options, log fire going and dog friendly. The toddler in our party even got given a Barley Mow bear for Christmas :)

·

Smart but casual pub with very friendly staff. We both had the fish and chips, which were tasty if slightly oily. Nice decor and overall good atmosphere on a busy Saturday lunchtime.

Exceptional service, friendly and efficient. Meals were pleasant. Personally under seasoned for my taste but well presented.
