Crown & Pepper in Tandridge

Oh Gosh! Just moved into the area thinking I will miss my chinese xin hyatt in waddon which is really nice. Crown & Pepper you WIN!!!!. Thank you for the lovely tasty food. Guys try the chill king prawn it taste amazing! Well done.

Really yummy food, my favourite dish was the cauliflower in batter. Everything was hot & fresh as well as the service being fast with a relaxed and friendly environment. Would definitely recommend it.

This pubs changed hands a number of times and was only by chance passing and went in to get some food, the menu is mainly Indian and chinese. I opted for chicken in black bean with chilli's and pepper's and my friend had Singaporean noodles. We both were pleasantly surprised, the menu is extensive, portions are very substantial ( you could easily share a main between two) and most importantly the food tasted very good, to the extent as good as most local chinese takeaways.

Ate at this pub last night, servers were pleasant and smiley. Had a small Chinese vegetarian dish, I have had food poisoning all day! Projectile vomiting and diarrhoea, so bad I had to contact my doctor for advise. I will not be returning! Couldn’t attend 2 meetings today due to being Ill and still feel unwell now

The food is terrible the worst Chinese style food I’ve ever had. The rice is bland the sweet and sour chicken should just be Called sour chicken. And even the fish and chips meal is bad, the fish is mushy and the pease are just horrible. Overall it was distasteful and unpleasant and I’d never recommend.

The food was really and it came really quickly which I'd great. There were 7 of us and all the food came at the same time. The server was very patient and attentive but not in your face. Don't know about the price as my Boss paid (get in). I could even park out on the road after 6 as well.

Had some food here on the weekend and I have been coming here since opened.Even visited the one in Croydon and I was impressed.I like this pub they are friendly and always welcoming when we walk in.Food is great I love both combinations and they are attentive when you are sat at the table. Staff always checking if you need another drink or more food.Thank you

If I could give this place zero stars I would more than once without thinking twice. I am here to not only complain about their appalling food and horrible service but to also drop in a comment about whoever owns or manages this establishment. Please take a look at the responses to other customer reviews who have rated this place low. It clearly shows how the owners/manager values his customers. If you like to be treated rudely and be served by people who really don't care about you and are only after your money then this place is a must visit! I am sure the owner/manager would respond to my review which only proves my point around the kind of customer service you can expect from a below standard establishment like this one. P.S. to the owner/manager - spare yourself the embarrassement and consider not responding to the review. Reviews are meant to help you improve so please take it in the spirit they are meant to be taken 😊Update on my Review for the Owner/Manager: I did raise the above issue on the appalling food and service during my visit and the response I received from your manager was a rude one. This place needs some serious attention to both food hygine and staff training. The food tasted a bit funny and had some obvious smell. Had to leave the food and gave my feedback to the staff which I felt was brushed off.When paying up, the owner made a comment about service charge which was cheeky for him to ask despite the service and food was very poor. Anyway, I paid the tip too but I dont think would return here.There are plenty of better places around the area if you value your health.Avoid at all cost!Update: It's funny I am not the only one that finds you rude on this forum..Look around mate, you can't handle any criticism. 😁 It says alot about your establishment and the things you would do to manipulate a feedback just because I had the firmance to speak up about your arrogance. Try all you want to save your sorry image but it seems its downhill for you...lol

The attempt at serving Indo-Chinese food is laudable but poor. Starters all taste the same (and most are just fried in thick batter) whilst the main courses are either far too spicy (coming from a group of 6 spice lovers, at that) or else severely lacking in flavour. There is no middle ground. Aside from that, the bar area is fine and ambience acceptable for casual drinks.
