We didn't eat at this pub but the menu looked great. Good pub food. We sat in the bar and had drinks. The bar staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. A lovely traditional pub dating back to 1368 with a nice dining area. Would recommend.

Food was okay. Over priced for what it was. Ordered whitebait for starters. Looked decent. Tasted a bit over cooked.Lamb shank for mains. This was 17.95. Again looked good. Arrived on a giant bone but only had a few mouthfulls of meat and a lot of sauce.Cheese board for dessert was good. 9.95 came with 3 good chunks of cheese, veg and chutneyFor drinks the menue shows 2 prices. You would think single and double, but this is not the case. Ended up having to pay for 2 single shots. It became very expensive fast without me knowingFor me alone meal and a few drinks came to £70!!

Very nice food( thanks to chefs), good service( thanks to a girls on the floor), but really need to work on cleanliness front and back of house. High chairs quiet bad( last time when we were in there, this time we brought our own kid chair), we got one of our starters in badly dirty dishes, we never ordered coleslaw but we found some of it on our plate:( ( I would say need step up for chef checking dishes )Other than that all good lovely local pub!

Great little place, traditional feel about the pub. The staff were great and really made you feel like nothing was to much. The food tasted great and was presented well. I would recommend and will be visiting here again.

Our first visit to this little gem. Perfect service lovely staff. Food fresh and plentiful lovely settings would highly recommend.

This was our fourth visit over the past 2 years - would have been more if covid had not interceded. Today despite us being late arriving, the staff and the kitchen were able to deliver their customary excellent food and service in time for our Dutch guests to enjoy lunch and make their next appointment. So pleased to see that there were plenty of other diners for lunch too. This place is great and long may they thrive.

Such friendly staff and lovely place. Felt the food could have been slightly more tastful. Overall a good experience. Want to go back for other menu items.

The food is fantastic because it's cooked fresh to order. A great beer garden with a play area for kids, fab ale & gin selection! Ellie is a great host and we always ride our horses here for a beverage!

Friendly staff and good food. Service was a little disorganised at times, but they had just opened when we arrived so could be forgiven. Prices are very good for the size of the meals. Play area in the back for children along with outdoor seating.
